Default A relative of mine died from a birth control called Yaz

I thought I should mention this.

I was at the hospital all day yesterday because someone I'm related to but didn't know that well eventually died from using a birth control called Yaz.

Apparently the birth control caused a blood clot in her lung that formed almost immediately. She went into the hospital on friday, and died 2pm on Saturday. It's really sad. If you research the product Yaz, then you'll find a lot of lawsuit stuff.

Be careful if you use yaz, if you could you should probably stop.

I am sorry for your loss. However, don't let an anecdote, no matter how tragic, get in the way of your brain. A woman is 6 times more likely to die of pregnancy and birth complications than of complications of taking the pill, including if she smokes! If Yaz or any other estro-progestative pill is the BC that most suits you, then you should absolutely keep taking it. If you're not feeling the love for the pill, there are many other methods. all are safer than getting pregnant, and are preferable to risking pregnancy if that's not what you want right now.

Umm i don't take the pill. . . because I'm a guy. Yaz has a lot of lawsuits. I posted this up on a few forums and my blog and got a lot of the same responses on how yaz is deadly.

Oh, my gosh! I'm so sorry for your loss!

I stopped taking the (other, earlier) pill when it became clear that it was a health risk -- and I was never even a smoker, the most at-risky group they warn you about.

She wasn't a smoker, drank occasionally, and exercised a lot. And she still passed away.

Yes that is a way to make money. Take a drug and give the documents to a relative. Then when you die and they recall the products, your relatives collect a lot of money.

Default I am so sorry

Yaz was not suppose to be available anymore. They didn't warn people that it put you at a higher risk for blood clots and liver failure. Yasimen is also similar to Yaz. It is actually a high does of hormones, you are just told it's lower compared to other birth-controls. I hope your family looks into the law suit. I am very sorry that this has happen to your family. It is unfair.
