You don't hear of doctors recommending the removal of men's testicles because they are deemed to be at higher than average risk of testicular cancer do you? Wonder why that is? If all these altruistic groups and organizations want to educate and help women, you would think they would be screaming from the rooftops about such barbaric mutilations. But they don't. I'm sorry to say that cancer is just viewed as big business and human life and quality of that life takes a back seat. In the case of breast cancer, there does seem to have been complete abdication of reason and thought on the part of a huge majority. Witness the massive cause marketing that reaches fever pitch every October. In so many (although not all) cases one of the most slimy and deceptive marketing and profit mechanisms ever devised. Visit the "Think Before You Pink" site for a lot of thought provoking commentary on the whole issue. Think Before You Pink | |
