I'm 17 and want to be circumsized... but I'm scared now.

Now, I've wanted this for a while. Since i was about 14. I did research, and even found out I have phimosis which boosted by determination to get the surgery.

However today, I was on a certain site and someone posted this video...

It's a circumcision surgery on an infant, and its screams really got to me. Like, I know it's a lot of pain but god damn the way its voice was... it just got to me.

Now, I'm hoping that when I get it done they give me pain killers or put me to sleep... but if they don't I'm not sure if I'll go through with it if I didn't see this video i would've done it, but god damn this just really made me cower... it's a bit embarrassing.

Has anyone here undergone adult circumcision? Did they give you any pain-killers at all? What was the experience like?

And this last question is a bit more personal, so I understand if you don't want to answer it. How much was the surgery?

My ex-fiance had it done when he was 20. He said it hurt like a son-of-a-*****, and it was very uncomfortable for some weeks afterwards. He also said he was really glad he had it done, that it was worth the discomfort.

Doesn't sound too bad... I think it's the fact that the baby has no pain threshold whatsoever.

I've seen the sales pitches for adult circumcision, and they are pretty "button pushing" implying that women will find you more attractive if you get cut up.

Of course I don't know you or your motivations, but I'd going to recommend waiting 'til you are a little older to decide.

I have a medical condition called Phimosis, that's the motivation. I'm tired of pushing girls away because I can't have sex.

You sure you have that? Mine didn't retract very much for awhile at that age either. But after a couple of years towards the end of my teen years, it became just fine. It is really rare after all to have that condition. So unless you have a very severe case, I suggest you wait, and not cut yourself up for girls.

That particular sales pitch is about the only one left for them, as all the other ones have been disproven. It's true tho. Tell a girl you are not cut, and they freak out. Don't tell her, and she'll never find out unless you are soft, or she's a slut. Either way tho, personally I consider it a " women I don't want to be with" detector.

I appreciate the input. It retracts just fine when flaccid, however once I get an erection I can't pull it back at all. I'll try, but it'll just reaaaally tighten up against the head and I'll start to feel pain.

Consider taking a few months or a year and learn some self-hypnosis for pain management. I've never been through the experience, but I imagine this will make a huge difference. By the end of it you won't have anything to be afraid of.

It's up to you. I just figured you are still very young and there is plenty of time for girls in the future (do you plan to go to college?)

But if nothing is holding you back just do it. Do your parents know that you want the surgery?

It might be a good idea to do a live group class or workshop, because then you could enlist your classmates to practice on you during the acute phase, when you might need a little boost from a helpful person.

I've had seemingly miraculous results with it, including healing from a scalding.

I have not done had it done, and I don't know how they do it why infants. But it is surgically probably the easiest procedure you can think of. I am sure you will get some local anesthetic, so you will not feel it, and some pain killers for the days after.

Yeah, I was being modest with the "3 months to a year" thing. However, I'm a bit skeptical of one day or weekend trainings with something like self-hypnosis.

An exboyfriend of mine had it done when he was 17, because he had the same issue as you.

Only, when he tried to have sex for the first time (not with me) it almost forcibly went over, and he was in one hell of a lot of pain...

So... I'd say that you have plenty of reasons to do so, especially because it makes cleaning more difficult if you cannot pull it back completely.

Instead of finding more info online, I'd suggest you make an appointment with a doctor. He can tell you everything you need to know about painkillers, how they do the surgery, how long you'll be out and much more.

I'd go to a "normal" doctor in a "normal" hospital and not to someone who advertises doing this.

First off... I would notice, soft or hard. Because you just have a little bit less to play with.

Second: I couldn't care less if someone is or isn't, and I cannot imagine anyone caring either. If they do? They are not worth sleeping with anyway.

Third: It only takes 2 experiences (one with and one without) to be able to notice... 2 experiences hardly make someone a slut...

I had it done as an infant, but it is also a very common procedure to have as a teenager/young adult. I wouldn't worry about the pain. They usually use anesthesia, and it should only take a few minutes.

Whaaaa...? I don't understand what you're saying. Circumcision is less common where I'm from, because it's about a 50/50 split between guys who are and who aren't in my experience. But who would care? It doesn't make any difference as far as I can tell. Are you saying that girls who can tell but don't care are sluts? Why on earth...?

I went to my family doctor and she said I didn't have it. Yet I specifically TOLD her It doesn't retract when it's ERECT not FLACCID. So she pulls it back when it's flaccid and I'm like, come on doctor I told you the problem is when it's erect. So...the doctor wasn't much help.

And where I'm from, circumcisions are VERY common. And many girls do care, for that reason. The girls that have been able to tell on me, were pretty slutty. Am I talking about every single girl, or every single penis? No. And I've rarely met a girl that can tell, who doesn't care.

Get a different doctor, one who does listen to you.

(in the mean time, make sure you clean very well after masturbation, you don't want an infection there!)
