Well they can still masturbate. Ironically it was popularized to reduce masturbation, but to date circumcision does not prevent male masturbation.

People always be doing crazy things because someone told them to.

Tonsil removal also used to be just a normal thing to do if the kid keeps getting sore throats. The thing is - it doesn't work.

Early modern medicine was mostly about whistling in the dark.

Another crazy thing the US medical establishment did back then - outlaw midwifery.

That's why Kellogg's cornflakes were invented, too.

Kellogg recommended circumcision for "any degree of phimosis."

That is too funny. Before we know, we discover that much of our everyday life is based on preventing masturbation. Unsuccessfully...

Now I am getting suspicous of everything

[QUOTE=Bear Z;723156]Now, I've wanted this for a while. Since i was about 14. I did research, and even found out I have phimosis which boosted by determination to get the surgery.

As a nurse practitioner I had a patient who was circumcised (because of severe phimosis) in his 70s. He did fine, had minimal pain after wards. Discuss your fears with your urologist (a urologist will do your surgery). He will discuss options for anesthesia with you. They may circumcise newborns without anesthesia but they will not do the surgery on someone your age or older without some type of anesthesia. And lose the link to that video- you will just spook yourself by watching it.

I thought circumcision was popularized over 2000 years ago in the Jewish community because they were instructed to do so by God. I've never heard it is suppose to prevent masturbation. It DOES help with some hygiene issues. And it is a cure for phimosis. I've had patients with that problem and it can be very painful, to say the least. Never heard any men complain of loss of sensitivity but as a female I can't argue one way or the other on that one.

As far as I know, lashki is right: circumcision didn't happen in the general poulation (ie, for something else than religious reasons) until doctors started promoting it as a tool against the evil masturbation.
And as a woman, I can attest to some degree to a loss of sensitivity. Although I don't have quite the experince that russian rocket believes I have, my past partners who were circumcised were less sensitive (for comparison, my intact partner cannot stand direct contact on his head), harder to satisfy and needed rougher sex to really get off.

The myth that circumcision stopped boys from masturbating came out hundreds of years ago (during the overly religious puritan era). That's how it first became popular in the United States. Today we are smart enough to know that it is just that, a myth. I'm proof that being circumcised does not affect masturbation/sex at all.

When I had sex, I also had phimosis/tight foreskin, and for all intents and purposes, I still do. I also have plenty of foreskin.

However, I refused to accept that I was born with a defective penis and that it needed fixing.

Here were my concerns:
  • I couldn't touch the tip of my head because it hurt too much. So I thought it would hurt when I penetrated a woman because it will likely glide up and down in there.
  • If it's going to hurt, I probably won't be able to keep an erection; And also it probably won't feel that good.
  • What if the foreskin doesn't move because it's so tight; Will I be even able to orgasm?

And despite all of that...

As it turns out, having tight foreskin is the greatest thing ever.

See, it's very important that she gets very, very wet. So I make sure before I penetrate her that I kiss her madly and play with her whole body through and through; I give her pleasure by massaging her breasts and by licking her nipples until she can't take it anymore and wants me inside her.

So long as she's wet, it works well. So plenty of foreplay works wonders.

Phimosis/tight foreskin has been, for me, one of those things that looks like a curse but is actually an incredible blessing in disguise.

In fact, my first lover (who I'm still with), asked me lots of times "Is this really your first time???"

Because, you see, the sensation of foreskin rubbing against the vagina is delicious for the woman. It hits all the right spots. However, because your head doesn't appear easily when you're erect, you won't orgasm until you decide to thrust deeper & harder.

So I can make the lady orgasm madly all day long and I never tire; I am always erect until I decide to orgasm.

In other words, when I was having sex for the first time, I was already having sex for as long as 30-60 minutes. I think we did 2 hours at some point.

Constant... pleasure... and ecstasy... over, and over.

Honestly, I've asked myself many times if having tight foreskin is not actually the natural state of the penis, because my lover certainly doesn't complain.

My suggestion is to have sex with women who get really, really wet.

Law of Foreskin: The more foreskin you have and the tighter it is, the wetter the woman you are with must be.

And that's my 0.02c.
It's not really better, if the skin doesn't come back I won't be feeling anything.

It is quite easy to get the skin back over. You can just gently squeeze the head and the blood will rush out of it allowing the foreskin to move back up.

That was probably THE biggest fear I had when trying to get my foreskin to stretch...but there wasn't really any reason for it.

OP, carefully consider your decision and do consult with a urologist. There are alternatives to circumcision such as a stretching routine and taking vitamin E. Plus the foreskin is an important part of sex, the last two links of this may be informative.

I've lost track of how many women I've met who got turned on when they find out I'm not circumsized. I'm 60 now and stick to women near my age group, so maybe it's just the younger generation that has this repulsion.

There is a little bit of 'social' pressure there as well. When my sons were born my mother was horrified that we didn't get them circumsized.

I just told her that their dad isn't and he seems to function just fine

No, what I meant is that the skin won't pull back, thus the head underneath will get no stimulation

Hey Bear Z,

I had Phimosis too, and for a while I didn't know what to do (check out this thread, where I posted my story...

Anyways, its now four months later and my phimosis is cured My foreskin can go right past the head now

Before I did anything about it, it only stretched back to about a centimetre in circumference

I started doing stretching exercises about a month or two ago, but its only now that it actually went past the head. (last night to be more precise)

What I did was just stretched my foreskin back as far as it could go, making it stretch a bit (but not causing any pain), and then holding it for 30 seconds

Do this once or twice a day and you will see a gradual improvement.

Google stretching the foreskin for more advice, I found a thread that is completly devoted to it with like 6 pages

If you have any questions feel free to ask

Lol!
Oh man! Serious problem, funny thread.
I'm in the same boat as Rocket, still got my hoodie and hang'n proud. Girls never do notice while you're hard, as the hood on a healthy penis retracts as it swells. Like a convertable top on a car. lol
I would suggest steriod treatments and manual streatching bud. It'll hurt a little, but not as bad as getting a piece of your junk cut off.
Never masterbate by leaveing the head of the penis in the hood. That may be the very reason for the phimosis!
Surgery is really only a good option if the phimosis fully covers the head and prevents urination, or if the hood is attached to the head of the penis instead of under it.

Not true. It may be your case, but different people have different anatomies and it's got nothing to do with health. Some men simply have a longer foreskin.

Jeez, how many penises have you seen?
And yeah, I ment they never notice with me.
But no, phimosis for males is not healthy, sorry.
I've had a healthy, uncircumcized one-eyed monster for 28 years.
I know how they work very well thank you. "Subject matter expert" as it were.

Lets not make this about what the man's rod should look like K? Lets just help him with his problem. -_-;

Haha!
Not even going to speculate on that first one.

Personaly (truly, I can't speak for all men, to be sure.), I would find such a thing a hendrince, which would promply be pulled back and out of the way. You might have seen such things on the elderly (55-70+) guys?
I have heard of people with a sort of.....facination, with foreskins. The stretching, peirceing, and general warping of the tissue. But I could hardly call that "healthy". Maybe fun at the least. lol

My sons were both circumcised and they definitely had stuff to numb the pain! They both cried for a bit (while it was done...the doctor used a Plastibell or however you spell it) and then they were fine.

However, in retrospect, I wish I hadn't had them done... At the time it seemed like a good idea (my parents were for it, and their father had been done too...) but now it seems more natural to leave them be!!

However, for phimosis - yeah, if it doesn't fix on its own, then you should do it!

You've obviously seen more then I have, but out of the people I've TALKED TO, non of them had enough to cover the head in erection. Unless you stretch it back over that is. But just to look at it, it's not going to look any different. Which was my whole point from the start.

Cut off a part of my penis for no reason at all? That would be dandy. They say it makes it cleaner. What the heck does that mean? I SCRUB and SCRUB and SCRUB, but I still can't get out these stubborn stains! Grape juice on my penis?? This'll never come off! And right before the big dance...
