Default If you have trouble losing weight, maybe your eyes are at fault

According to this article seeing your food can have a huge effect on not overeating.
If you want to go on a diet maybe you should consciously look at your food a bit more.

LOL
I read the article (interesting, thanks ) and afterwards was seriously thinking "but it didn't even mention seeing your foot!! Did I read the wrong article?" ... then realised you meant to write food. Doh!

They do say that if you eat on smaller plates you tend to eat less because it appears like you have more food, as opposed to it looking like you don't have as much on a bigger plate... so I guess this fits in with this new study.

I have been eating at this restaurant for over 10 years and never had a problem being overweight. They always had very large dinners. Then 2 years ago they had smaller dinners on smaller plates. I could defintely tell the difference.

It used to be their dinner would fill me up without any appetizers. The last time that I was there to prove how much smaller the dinner was I ordered 2 of them. It was chaos and confusion (they have some trouble with English). Do you want one for here and one to take home? No I will eat both of them here and I did. Smaller plates do not fool me. But neither do the prices.

When the price is $49.99, it is $50 minus a penny. But people see it as $40 and change. Foot is similar to food. You can put your food in your mouth or put your foot in your mouth (English saying).
