| I've done it a few weeks ago. Just google colon hydrotherapy in your city. You should find a place that does it. Read the reviews and find out which place is most recommended. I did it after being on raw foods for a year so my body has already been cleansing and detoxifying but I can tell that it did make a big difference. How good you'll feel depends on how "dirty" you're colon is but it's surely a very healthy thing to do from time to time. It should cost around $85 so make sure you're not paying a lot more than that.

I know a great deal about this. There are colonics that are given by pros but I heard that it can be uncomfortable. But nurses, hospitals, chiropractors and some pro fasters use enemas and you can control it. Here are instructions for enemas and more about them. Fiber in foods keep the colon clean. All unprocessed plant foods have plenty of fiber. Animal foods have no fiber. Then there are different powders containing fiber and herbs to clean the colon. Here is the best one that is made with herbs from the Amazon rainforest to clean the colon and get rid of parasites and other things that you do not want. Click on the product to see the ingredients, first click on Fiberzon (fiber and Amazon) for the colon cleanses. Colonics are the most invasive and powders are the least invasive since you just drink them. Last edited by ginkgo; 08-02-2010 at 01:52 AM. |

TRUTH: "With a good enough diet, enemas are not needed." (& might I add, can be downright dangerous) Additional Essentials for excellent health: 1. weight-dependent: 1-2 quartz liquids... drunk daily. 2. Hi-fiber... nutrition 3. Exercise passionately... 4. Pro-biotics

Three days of raw apples & only raw apples will clean your colon right up. Google for 'cayce apple diet'. Some people can't eat raw apples because they have blood sugar problems. Non-organic apples should probably be peeled, or at least washed with soap & water. -James Knochel |

| Dangerous Truth about Herbal Colon Cleansers » Oxy-Powder Review of Global Healing Center: Ozonated Skin Salve, Oxy-powder, Slimirex and Other Revolutionary Health Products I have taken the oxypowder and found it effective and easy. About to do another round. I think it was better than some herbal mix that I also tried. |

| They taste different... A little sweeter, perhaps. You have to find varieties that you really like. For example, I've only ever had one good Red Delicious apple - all the rest taste awful raw (perhaps they're okay cooked with sweetener & cinnamon?). My favorite apple variety is usually Braeburn, but other kinds are good too. I once went to an apple orchard in Wisconsin that had all different kinds (samples!) - every one was unique. -James Knochel |

Do they tend to last longer than store-bought apples? If so, how much longer? Or how much less.

Many have searched for people getting hurt from enemas but could not find anything. Enemas are not dangerous. Bananas are not dangerous but you can kill someone with it, if you shove it down their throat and block the windpipe. You answered a question that was not asked-- What are the health essentials? Personally, I got major detox symptoms after my colonic, the day after. Although, it also coincided with one of the most stressful days I've had this year, so it might have compromised the healing that happens afterward. I woke up dizzy, nauseous, and I slept half the day. I would still recommend it, yes. In fact, I welcomed those symptoms because then it felt like it was really effective. I think, as in other healing modalities, it's important to find a nice caring person, who you feel comfortable with cause it can be a little hard to relax with tube up your buttom.

I don't know how I could physically get a colonic. It sounds very violating. I'm sure it is a wonderful procedure that helps your health tremendously, but the idea of having a hose up my butt is just a bit daunting. I'll have to work up to actually getting one, which is pretty much inevitable in the next 5 years. I can see myself getting one, but not now. For now, I'll stick with a healthy diet and exercise for my detox program. Eat fiber, exercise, try probiotics, but don't get a weak one. Get one with at least 30 billion active bacteria. If it has less than 3 billion, you are wasting your time. It sure sounds like a lot, but our gut has trillions of bacteria. I believe Mercola.com has a good probiotic that will aid the colon and digestive processes. Unless you want a hose up your ass, then that is also a viable option. Yep, I couldn't really envision myself wanting one either for a long time. Of course, after child birth, a lot of things seem easier and less violating lol Joking aside, when you actually want one REALLY bad and you feel like there is things in you waiting to come out, then you are willing to pay the price. When I finally decided I wanted one, I was eager to go in asap. P.S. You don't have to look. You can close your eyes. |
