I am working out with different programs to find which one I like the best. I am currently working with p90x. I love it. Its very interactive and keeps me moving the whole time. Not only that but I SEE results already. I also have the Insanity program which looks INSANE (hence the name Im guessing) I have tried different yoga workouts but I like variety. And I also like getting more toned and muscular. So far p90x is definitely proving the promise. Does anyone have any ideas of something to do when I finish this program? |

Suitable workout program depends on: * what you want to achieve, * your body physiology and * available time, money and equipment. My philosophy is this: keep doing what works. Once it stops working, try something else. No need to change workout programs if you are getting good results. |

Hi HelpfulOne, I was in your shoes about a year ago. I did P90x and got to the point where I just couldn't bring myself to do another pushup in my living room. After that, I took about a few weeks off and then started Crossfit. Have you heard of Crossfit? It's a functional fitness program that is like P90x taken up a few notches. Combines weightlifting, plyometrics, kettlebells, running, gymnastics - pretty much any athletic exercise you could imagine. The military uses it a lot, but tons of civilians do it as well. There are gyms all over the US and a few in Europe too. here's the crossfit main site: Welcome to CrossFit: Forging Elite Fitness Also, I posted a review a while back on my site comparing crossfit, the monkey bar gym and p90x: The Best Workout Routines. Forget the Hype. Our Review of Proven Programs Good luck. If you start, start slowly and respect your limits. You can scale all the Crossfit exercises, so listen to your body and you'll amaze yourself at what you'll be doing in a few months. Cheers, Adam |

If you are looking for something purely geare around putting on muscle mass try Hypertrophy Cluster Training - HCT-12 | Wannabebig It's a great program which covers both training and nutrition. As Adam says, Crossfit is very impressive. You could probably find a Crossfit affiliate near you too, they are very popular. My company sponsored the 2010 Crossfit Games and the athletes are INCREDIBLY impresive. |
