It should follow quite easily from any serious discussion of behavior that all behaviors stem at some point from beliefs. There are people in this world who for some reason are in a permanent state of total health. You know the ones. They eat hot dogs and chips, drink coca cola classic, have never seen the inside of a gym...but they always have a bright smile on their face, their skin is smooth and paper-thin, they are often strong and supple and have a pleasant demeanor....always surrounded by attractive members of the opposite sex. In short, they're everything we all want to be. What beliefs could a person like this have regarding health, life, the purpose of life...what is and isn't morally acceptable, what his or her role in life is. That is, what are their strongest convictions as they wake up in the morning? Is work play for them? Is life a giant game which they are guaranteed to win? What do they enjoy? What sits at the front and back of their consciousness? I have a few ideas but I want everyone to throw ideas in here--- They believe that life is meant to be enjoyed """life is a wonderful experience """life is a process of experience """there is no objective measure for greatness--life is evidence of their greatness """success is inevitable """they are meant to be sexy, healthy, and happy Does anyone else have ideas / affirmations to become one of these people? |

Genetics are to be taken in consideration. I have a friend who loves chocolate but she is stunningly gorgeous, never has a blemish on the skin, very slim, beautiful teeth etc. I saw her mum, her mum is very tall and slim. To me it's mainly genetics. They are used to see their parents slim and healthy so they go through life in the slim healthy mindset. I don't have any idea about affirmations but when i honestly look at it, I've been thinking how once i've had my two children I'll slim down for good, and i am currently under my pre-pregnancy weight. Work in progress. I'm not dieting. Maybe there's an image in your mind of what you would look like at your best and your body follows it. I know i could boost it if i were dieting but it's not an option at the moment. And yes definitely life is to be enjoyed, your body is how it's meant to be and just fine that way. |
