| So I've decided that March is the month that I'm going to get serious about meditation. This month's Tricycle Magazine has a 28 Day Commit to Sit program that I'm likely go to do. Anyway, had a few things regarding meditation posture for the community here: 1. I really like the vajrasana pose for meditation. I'll put down a couple of pillows under my glutes and a pillow for knees as well and I can end up staying in this pose for quite a while. It does a really good job of opening my hips, knees and ankles. Incidentally it's also a good pose to use while reading. 2. In terms of cross-legged sitting (i.e., half-lotus, lotus, etc.) I'd love to hear others thoughts on posture. I have a hard time with this posture and am wondering if a meditation cushion would be helpful. The magazines are full of these but I'm not sure which is best. Any suggestions? Thanks!
