Hey everyone! I am on day 13 of my 30 day raw food challenge! So far it's been overall very good. I am regularly a meat eater and I tend to eat lots of processed foods, but I've been trying to eliminate it from my diet as best I can. The last 13 days have been blogged on my blog. You can find the first post here: 30 days raw! – Eating uncooked food for a whole month | Exploring Infinity the most recent posts are at the top of the home page on my blog (linked above and in my signature) You can see the entire trial by clicking on the April 2010 archives on the right side menu if you want to see all of the posts. I've had a few ups and a few downs including Day 10 where I puked 4 times and didn't feel well at all.. I have had ups where my days are full of energy and I feel great... Im now starting to get bored with the food, but hope to come up with some new dishes to add some variety to the rest of this trial. I know if I search through this forum I'm sure to find a lot of great ideas for recipes so you don't have to post any suggestions for meals here unless you really want to. Im competent enough to use the search feature (unlike many nooblets on forums like this! I know all about it!). I just wanted to pop in here and kind of give everyone the heads up on what I'm up to this month. Thanks for reading!! Comments, suggestions, always welcome! |

a 1 to 10 hey.. hmm.. I guess I'll have to see. I was feeling pretty good before this challenge so it's hard to say for me on a scale like that. I have been feeing better and better about all aspects of my life over the last 5 months or so. It seems things just keep getting better! So if you would have asked me when I started I would have said probably an 8 or so... If you ask me now I would defnitely say I feel better than when I started, but I'd still rate it about an 8 or so? It's almost as if my bar-standard for feeling good is being raised. Like I'm giving myself an opportunity to feel better than I ever thought possible before! |

Blahhh!! I cheated today! I ate a burger! NooooO! It will be reported on my blog tomorrow on Day 16s post. I'm going to continue with the trial though. I think I am going to modify my rules a bit. It will be in detail there tomorrow sometime when I get it all sorted out. It's kind of funny though. I ate a burger.. and then like an hour later I was tired, layed down and had a nap, and slept for 6 hours! what a waste of a day! I guess I fail. But I am going to make the next 14 days with modified rules to allow for a bit more variety. |

Hey good job on finishing the 30-day trial! Quick questions about it: did you feel you had much improved mental clarity since your body was never bogged down in digestion (i.e. - overnight)? Also did you wake up feeling energized and great provided you slept enough?

Well the trial has been over for a while, you can read the final report here: 30 Days on the Raw Food Diet: My Final report | Exploring Infinity It's quite long. In fact it's my longest article on the site so far! Thanks for all of your support everyone. |

All of your questions are answered in the final report... About the moobs - I am planning to write an article "How to get rid of man boobs (moobs)" ... So I guess it's safe for you to assume that I have rid myself of them! I did feel a lot more energized, especially when waking up. I often woke up hours before my alarm was set! That's bizarre to me because usually I sleep way too much. (like I did today) I lost a total of 18 pounds during the trial but I have since gone back up to 155 for a loss of 13 pounds that stayed off. |
