| Kind of a different question but I had my father in town this week and he's over 60 now and starting to have some difficulty hearing, especially when there is a lot of background noise (i.e. at a restaurant). I'd be interested in hearing if there are any ways to naturally improve hearing. I seem to recall something on Oprah a while back about cleaning ears (qtips apparently are *not* good) and maybe this would help. I'd love to improve my own hearing as well as prevent deterioration over time. And yes, I'm sure not listening to loud music is probably a good idea...

| I haven't had my hearing deteriorate but I perform a sound meditation that can likely help if you are willing to practice it. Quote:

| Interesting... I read a couple of books a while back on improving one's vision naturally. They included some interesting exercises like when you're driving pick out one color and try to notice everything that is that color. This helps you enhance your ability to pick out colors which in turn "improves" your vision. Curious if any other similar books/exercises are out there for hearing...
