Many of the popular raw diets suggest extremely high intake of nuts/seeds/avocados, which are high in fat, and have been shown to bring on diabetes, heart disease, etc; ironically, they find themselves suffering from the diseases which they never suffered from as healthy cooked vegans. | Raw food UK with raw food events, journals and inspiration is really interesting - as is her site Detox Your World I bought some raw maca powder - but haven't been able to bring myself to eat it yet - not all raw food is nice! raw cocoa nibs on the other hand are delicious! |
