Default thyroid conditions

Can anyone tell me some yoga techniques to help with hypo and hyperthyroidism? I'm hypothyroid, but would also like to know how to help hyperthyroidism as I'm studying yoga. I understand for hypothyroidism, poses like the fish and shoulderstand are useful. Any more help? Thanks

Someone told me to try this last September. Within 72 hours I felt like a new man. Since these are just vitamins and supplements purchased in a health food store and taken in regular daily doses, there are no side effects.

Take the following daily in normal doses:
LTyrosine
B6
B12
copper
folic acid
Kelp with iodine

All of the above cost me $35.00

Here's the weird thing. For the past 20 years I have always needed an espresso around 3 pm to keep from falling asleep. I have told myself that my daily latte break is the one addiction that I would never break. Within a week I lost the craving for afternoon caffeine entirely. Over the past 6 months I have had maybe three lattes and each time I regretted the purchase.

I still do enjoy my morning pot of coffee immensely.

Default hypothyroid

thanks for your tips, just out of curiosity, the supplements that you buy, how long do they last? Are you paying $35 for one month?

A $35 supply lasts about 2 to 3 months. Different items have different numbers of tablets/capsules in them.

don't be worried about the expense -- you can get great deals on supplements by shopping around and comparing.

i am borderline hypothyroid and i take good levels of B6, Tyrosine, B12, Iodine(Kelp), Folic Acid, Pantothenic Acid, acetyl-l-carnitine, alpha lipoic acid, etc. etc. as specific supplements, plus Solgar's Female Multiple which is an excellent woman's multi-vitamin/mineral and has good levels of nearly everything in it. they clearly keep up with the research.

solgar's female multiple is not cheap - but even so, because I shop around and monitor the levels that i am taking (meaning that i can split some pills in half, like my supplemental magnesium, manganese, chromium etc.), I am paying only 75 British pence a day for everything. incredible really.

for views on the research done on supplement levels to promote health (instead of just to guard against obvious disease, which is only what the RDA guidance is for),
i would recommend dr. ray sahelian's website,
also dr. weil although his site now contains conflicting information because his views have changed over the years for some things but they don't update all his Q&As accordingly, so watch out (case in point, on his site in places he says no more than 400-800 mcg of Vitamin D and in other places he says every adult needs at least 1000 mcg because his views have changed over time) --
also advice by Slagle,
and advice by Lieberman.
