Default Eye Glass: Do I need to pursue wearing it or not?

Good day!

Guys I would like to know your advice about wearing eye glass.

Actualy this last December 2009 I gone to optomitrist to check-up my eyes
because in a far range I am having difficulty to read.

He gave me an eye glass with a grade of 50. I can say that this is a perfect fit.

My question is do really need to wear this eye glass all the time in order to correct my eye sight?

My Optomitrist told me that I should but I would like to also get your opinion too.

Advance Thanks
rak

I wear eyeglasses too. I've heard that you can restore your vision to 20/20 by doing eye exercises, though I haven't tried them enough to notice anything. Has anyone restored their vision through eye exercises?

Since when do you wear eye glasses? Is it true that once you wear a eye glass the grade will increase eventually?

I started wearing them at a very young age, I can't recall how old I was specifically, but it was in the single digits. And for the most part, yes that is true. Eyeglasses gradually decrease the eye's natural ability to focus, making the eye increasingly dependent on eyeglasses/contacts.

That's not a very conscious thing to say

Your opinion is of value. Even if it's dead wrong. Especially if it's dead wrong.

So I think I should use my eye glass sparingly.

Oh yes, I have attempted those.
Although I'm not certain - the ones I did were different from others I saw around the net.
Been doing it lazily for a week, then seriously for about a month, then I lost track and started doing them less and less.
I checked the internet and I saw replies from people that it did work for, and for people that did those excercises for many months and it didn't work, so I'm not certain in anything.
But its been a few months now, and I should go get my vision checked to see any changes, or at least no further damage.
I'm just too lazy, and I want to sleep.

And about the glasses - some say that without them your eyes will work too hard and the vision will suffer.
Others say that the glasses do not allow the eye muscles to work due to the fact that they are 'replacing' the muscles, and then the muscles lose their strength and the vision suffers(long story).
But If I notice any changes in my vision, I will reply.
