Default Fiber =Gas??

I have noticed that at night I am very gassy recently after increasing my fiber intake. Is this true?

yes. but usually temporary...if it persists cut back on your intake. ...from dr. weil

fiber in what form?

i'm a vegetarian and get a lot of fiber in the form of veggies and whole grain products. only beans seem to cause gas.

not just beans, I am also concerned that I might have a peptic ulcer because I feel minor stomach pain sometimes.

Has your fiber intake changed in quantity or type? Because the gut acclimates to a certain level and type of fiber, and changing will cause temporary increase in gas and possibly even discomfort.
