And Rose,

Thanks for the reply. I will consider the dairy shut off method. For the moment I'm on day 8 of my 30 day vegetarian trial. One trial at a time! Have you done any trials recently?

Ni hao Ouyang.

I don't know if your diet contains wheat, oats barley or rye, but these all contain gluten and gluten is a known trigger in some people for sinus infections. Dairy is probably of no help either as others have pointed out.

chronic sinusitis is common type of disease. mainly because of bacterial infection, pollution and allergy it happens. honey mixed with equal ammount of ginger juice may help you. for unbearable condition you should consult with doctor. you can try for ayurvedic treatment too, its natural remedy without side effect.

My nose usually clears up when I eat a raw red pepper and a clove of garlic.

Although I haven't had much trouble lately since I am mostly raw vegan.

Milk, cheese etc. tends to give people more mucous so avoid those.

Also, if you want to learn more about raw food, enjoy this site.....

**Update**

It seems that chronic sinusitis is called "chronic" for a reason. Since my original posting I have done a few things:

1. Besides milk chocolate I've not ingested any dairy.
2. I've washed my nose daily with a diluted salt water solution.
3. Used an anti allergenic nose spray.
4. Become vegetarian.

About two months later I can say except for a few lapses in the morning before my rinses I'm breathing clearly and living life to the fullest - just did a marathon yesterday.

I think the most important part was the daily rinsing of the sinuses - once in the morning when getting up and once at night before bed.
