Default I see spiders after sleep

For a while now i see SPIDERS when i open my eyes after sleeping..
The first time i open my eyes i saw a BIG BLACK spider crawling to the roof as a streched my eyes to have a closer look, it was gone...
When waking up this morning, my eyes were focusing on the window... i saw this black ball, as i streched my eyes again to have a closer look,
a spider formed and BANG hes gone again.
Am i Going Crazy or what. In the past i always saw a speckeled ball, witch fade when i open my eyes , it never bothered me because it never left me feeling scared.

Im worried, do i have a problem...
Am i going off my trolie???

Oh thank god someone else sees them too!

I don't know what it is, but I have exactly the same thing. I have even physically leapt out of bed and jumped across my room to turn the light on screaming my lungs out the first two times it happened. But there was no sign of a spider...ANYWHERE?? I checked for webs, I checked everywhere...no spider??

WTF

well, since youre in a spiritual forum... are there any areas of your life where you feel like you may be 'caught in a web'??? and, since you live in south africa... do spiders have any significant meaning in your culture?

when you used to see the speckled ball, did you ever look to see if it would form into anything?

i dont think youre crazy... i think it could be possible you have a gift that wants you to pay attention to it.

I don't see the symbolism behind spiders to be frightening, and I even like real spiders...it's just seeing them in the middle of the night so close to me , it's freaky. I think there is definately symbolism there that needs attention. Spiders usually represent fear inside us. It could be something more personal to the OP or it could be just some fear issue?

Send them some love like Steve sent the crickets, talk to them, tell them to go away and who knows, they just might.

Hypnagogia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Hypnagogic hallucination. When people go to sleep or wake up there is a kind of "transition" state between sleeping and waking in which you can have auditory, visual, or other hallucinations. It's nothing to worry about, and it's actually kind of neat (I think) from a scientific standpoint, although it's a little scary when it happens to you. Check out hypnagogic and hypnapompic hallucinations on google for more information.

awww you wouldnt rather talk to the spiders??? hahah! this makes sense, your brain trying to grab hold of the real world again. it was coined by the guy who helped found a society for psychic/paranormal research. thats pretty cool too!

Do you drink alcohol before you go to bed by any chance?

I too had been seeing Spiders in my dreams, and when I'd "wake up" in the early hours of the morning; I too would "see and hear Spiders" running across my Devut Covers and Pillows briefly before disappearing.

It was only when I watched a documentary about addictions that I saw an alchoholic suffering withdrawal symptoms including hallucinations of "seeing spiders".
Obviously in such an extreme case he was experiencing this whilst fully awake (although the Hallucinatory aspects of the Alcohol didn't help).

Although I don't drink enough Units in a week to be classed as an Alcoholic I noticed Spiders more in Sleep when I had a drink about an hour before I went to bed.

Maybe this ties in with what the above posters were saying about the transition period during waking up (or a rude awakening as Alcohol disrupts sleep patterns.)

Since they go away quickly they are perfectly fine. If they don't and tell you to hurt people than you have a problem.
