Default water fasts and bad breath

What can you do on a water fast to make your breath nice/unnoticeable? And what do you guys think of chewing gum while on a water fast?

I wouldn't recommend gum. Chewing gum leads to ingestion of sugar (or fake sugar), plus the taste will make you hungrier. You definitely do not want that on a fast. I would recommend gargling with salt water and brushing your tongue a few times a day. You do not need much toothpaste at all.

In agreement with Barcs, i say that gum is a big no-no . I believe it also confuses the body into thinking that it should be producing digestive acids and sending them to your (empty) stomach.

During a fast your mouth becomes an organ of elimination. That is why your tongue gets coated. Just deal with it. It will get better when your body is purified more.

It only takes a day or so on a fast before you go into ketosis. This causes an acetone breath. I've had the coating as well. Drinking water frequently solved that but only strong mouthwash used often during the day blunts the bad breath.
