Seriously, without cash in my piggy bank, and without cash in my real bank, I gotta cut down on what I buy. Healthy food can be expensive, but I swear there are some awesome deals out there. A huge container of Oatmeal, I am talking that old fashioned oatmeal (you can still microwave this btw.. don’t be fooled by that other oatmeal that reads microwavable, less nutritious!!) only costs a few bucks, and will last you 15 days with two servings (300 calories). Though I think the idea of "forced dieting" is one of the worst things I've ever read, I do agree that there are plenty of ways to eat healthy foods without spending a lot of money. But seriously, what kind of messed up priorities would you have to have to cut your food/health budget if it isn't the absolute last resort?

Yum! I love oatmeal...especially with brown sugar and either bananas or berries! One of my favorites!

well, even on my worst days financially, i always made sure i ate well...i was a bit of a squirrel...keeping the pantry stocked for myself AND my cats it is rough now at times...but eating well, and healthily is a priority...if i cut down, it is on a few "luxury" item and things i could really do without...but eat pretty much as i always do. |

It is not forced dieting but voluntary. Say you are broke and you have sex for money. So you are saying that the lack of money is forcing that woman to have sex for money (prostitution). It is her choice. In 49 of the 50 states it is still illegal, and they do it voluntarily. Forced sex is when you are raped. So if someone kidnaps you and gives you very little food, that is forced dieting. Do you have a choice? NO! No choice. You can buy 5 pounds of potatoes for like $3. So for only $3 a day you can eat 5 pounds of potatoes. The beans are even less if you buy the dried beans. So you can pig out on lots of potatoes and beans. Being forced reminds me of the Richard Pryer routine. The judge asks him how he pleads on the charge of rape. He pleads temporary insanity. He says that he was crazy about that bitch. The judge says "baliff, whack his pee-pee."

When you shop, check the short-dated fresh items. For 50 cents I buy large bags of salad that are just beginning to show some brown. I make Russian dressing by blending mayo and ketchup. Food in general is cheap. It requires a bit of innovation but the challenge is worth it. Oatmeal is a good idea. koneall |
