Default What kind of foods at 7-Eleven give you maximum energy?

There are many 7-Eleven's at where I live (about one every block).

I need a lot of energy to get through the day because I walk around the city a lot.

The the food at 7-Eleven is relatively cheap compared to eating out everyday, and I was wondering what kind of foods and drinks in there do you suggest to buy to give you long-term lasting energy throughout the day?

I vote apples.

I don't find bananas energizing, at least not instantly. I'm sure they're awesome in the long run though.

Actually I mentioned bananas because I've never seen any other fruit. Very cool if apples are there. Bananas give tons of people energy though. Even better in a smoothie.

Grocery store bananas are a cheaper option-only around 5-15¢ each.

Peanuts, sunflower seeds and other nuts are a high energy food and are available at 7-11.

Coffee? If you are overweight you can get energy from bodyfat. Butter? It is all fat and fat has more calories than protein or carbs. Actually getting enough good sleep gives you energy. Look at the little kid with a bad diet or who eats very little.

Maybe a good question is what stops you from having lots of energy? Drugs (medication) or lack of good sleep. Fat people eat too much energy (calories).

Thanks for the replies so far!

I don't think coffee, butter, and energy drinks to be the things that give you long-term energy?

I may be wrong though...

some things may give you quick energy but then you may plummet.

definitely fat and protein like from nuts.

i actually cannot think of a whole lot at a 7 eleven that i personally consider edible

The cigarettes behind the counter might pick you up if you're accustomed to nicotine. Aslo, try Red Bull or other energy drinks.

Also, the beef jerky will give you protein in an easy-to-eat form.

If you need some carbs, you can go with the Doritos, or maybe popcorn (I prefer Smart Food brand popcorn over the 7-11 brand).

Obviously, these foods might not be that great for you, especially the smokes

I live near a 7-11 too, and they're all over (I'm in Chicago).
