| I've been adding a scoop of green powder to my smoothies each morning. A lot of the green powders seem similar in that they have dried wheatgrass, barley grass, spirulina, parsley, kale, etc. I'm just wondering if anyone has looked into these and found any of them to be any better than the others. I've been using Green Defense from Jarrow Formulas and it seems fine but I'm curious if there's much difference between these?

| Ultimate Meal. btw, I agree that adding a nutrient dense green meal to your diet helps to balance it out. I like to have that as roughly 1/6th of total calories, a plant source protein powder as another 1/6th, and the rest fresh vegetables, fruits, and nuts. |

| I really like Living Fuel's green drink. I use a 1/2 scoop in my morning fruit smoothies. They also have a berry drink that is quite good. They are both chock full of great, organic ingredients. I order online: Welcome to the Official Site of Living Fuel. |

| If you search through the old forums, you will find a thread that discusses "multivitamins". After reading their suggestions, I decided to evaluate Green Vibrance and Vitaforce, which I am doing right now. But yes, would like to hear some more input regarding green foods. |

| My nutritionist is nationally famous and teaches other nutritionists all over the country. She has investigated and sold every green powder out there. She swears by the product I use on her recommendation. It is called Vitamineral Green by Health Force Nutritionals. A big side benefit is that it is much less expensive then the alternatives. I use a tablespoon or two a day and can actually feel the letdown if I skip a day of it. Ed O www.TheMiracleLog.com - New Inspiration Every Day |

| I use Dr. Robert Youngs SuperGreens powder. I've also tried Tony Robbins UltraGreens but this seems a weaker blend. Dr. Young has a book on the power of green alkalising supplements which I found fascinating 'The PH Miracle'. You can get the general idea of what it's about from his site pH Miracle Living |

| There is nothing miraculous about any individual green powder. What you want to look for is whether the powder offers sufficient micronutrients -- meaning vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals and antioxidants. The problem with most green powders is they claim to be miracle foods -- which they are not. There is nothing magical about spirulina, wheatgrass, chlorella or others. They are simply very nutrient dense foods that are healthy, just like kale, collard greens and other nutrient dense foods. The ones that really frustrate me are the ones that claim they are equivalent to 10 servings of fruits and vegetables -- this is just nonsense. I have tried literally everyone out there, and the only one I now take is VITAFORCE, because it is the only that fulfills my criteria. Some of the others posted up here are decent, but they don't fulfill my criteria. For instance, while Vitamineral Green has healthy ingredients, it does not have a nutritional label, so you literally have no idea what nutrients you are getting. I used to take Vitamineral Green, but then when I found VITAFORCE, I switched over and haven't looked back. Plus, VITAFORCE is the only green powder that serves as a multivitamin as well (but it gets its nutrients from the whole food ingredients). | I love Vitamineral Green. Ive been using it everyday for several months & it sure has helped improve my health. It's expensive though, but I finally found a place that sells it cheaper $40. You have to buy in bulk, but its well worth it. Dimondhealth.com. Great customer service too. |
