Default Effects of Dairy

had a glass of milk in the afternoon today, something i usually do not do. i noticed that i almost immediately began to feel very drowsy. i usually am not tired at this time of the day. i remembered people here had mentioned that dairy has this effect, and after some quick googling, confirmed that this truly is the case.

my question is, are these effects limited to only after eating it or are there cumulative buildup effects as well? what i mean is that i typically have cottage cheese with my breakfast (ironically i always felt a bit tired after this but didn't know why until today). i now plan to stop eating the cottage cheese at breakfast but would like to have it at night before i go to sleep to serve as a slow-acting protein for muscle reparation. obviously this will make me sleepy after eating it but that obviously isn't a problem as its bedtime. but the question is whether having consumed this dairy has a carryover effect into the next day from being in my system.

would it be best to just eliminate dairy altogether?

And it takes the calcium from your body to digest the proteins - all animal protein does this because it is acidic while plant protein is much less acidic and can be digested easier, and slower because plants have fiber, while a glass of milk does not.

Not only that but I read somewhere a while back that dairy causes a negative immune response, though I haven't explored that so much.

Milk Comes From Grieving Mothers - Truth About Organic Dairy

This is a video I found on youtube which is quite emotional to watch especially considering I still consume dairy(Wouldn't, but I'm living at home still).
