Default Eating when you first wake up and getting sick

For some reason if I eat right after I wake up I end up throwing up an hour or 2 later. Do any of you have this same problem? Or know of it at all? Thanks.

Why not wait and eat a couple hours after you wake up?

maybe it's what you're eating?

It is suppose to be healthiest to drink water upon awakening (with lemon, even better) and eat around an hour later.

I know from working out and exercising, I've read it's best to eat breakfast within an hour of waking up. I personally eat as soon as I can after waking up because I'm so hungry sometimes when I wake up.

Definitely have water when you wake up because your body has gone 6-8 hours without water and needs it.

What do you eat that makes your throw up? That would help figure out why.

All I had was a PB&J... I ate it maybe 40 mins after waking up. Is as happened before but I never knew why. It also happens if I wake up really early (for me at least) and eat. The other day I had plans to go out to the desert with some buddies. I had to get up early and I ate. I threw up 3 times about an hour or so later. My eating habits are very strange.

It's likely the unhealthy food. Your body is telling you it doesn't want it. You can experiment with different foods to see what works. A green smoothie is the best thing to have in the morning. Otherwise fruit alone works well for many.

Oh - never heard that one before!

I generally have 2 bananas for breakfast - perhaps you could try fruit instead!

Try some other food. Does it only happen when you have PBJ? Or anything you eat for breakfast?

I would say if you have other food and are still throwing up, I'd see a doctor.

But I would think if you try other foods, you'll be fine.

Let us know!
