Hi, I'm considering adding probiotics to my diet to stave off colds and maybe help survive h1n1. What are the pros and cons? Just saw a reference to this study - we get a lot of colds all winter - http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/707329. Thanks in advance, Joan |

Probiotics have much to reccommend them. Staving off colds or minimizing their effect? Try zinc. For in depth argument see: George Eby Research Institute |

Probiotics are excellent for strengthening the immune system. I used these long before I was raw. The best ones are non-dairy. Don't know of any cons as long as you're using a good quality formula. Even if not, don't think there is. Make sure to take away from food and hours away from any meds.
