I am thinking about trying bi-phasic sleeping, and wondered if anyone here has experience with a somewhat variable schedule. I am having a hard time finding a schedule that will always work, but I can come up with a schedule that would only need to be adjusted an hour or so maybe 1 or 2 days per week. The schedule would be to have the Core Sleep occur from 1:30 AM - 6:00 AM. I would then have a nap from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM. This would work well most days, but there would be times that I needed to be up at 5:00 AM, so would slide everything forward an hour. There also would be occasions where I might have to push my nap back to 6:30 or 7:00 PM, if I had to work out of town (which isn't often). Of course once I get started I may find that the nap and core sleep are too close (or too far apart), and have to make adjustments for that. What are your experiences with these types of adjustments? Is it normally no big deal? Or is it best to set a very consistent schedule and find a way to stick to it? |
