Hi guys, Like you must've heard dozens of times, a nutritious breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So what constitutes a nutritious breakfast? Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Info: I'm a regular, healthy person. Cheers |

It all depends on your blood type. If you are blood type O you are a carnivore and you should eat a live pig slathered in butter. If you are blood type A you are a vegetarian weakling and should eat lucky charms. And if you are blood type B you are an omnivore and should pour some lucky charms on the pig while you eat him. Duh. |

I am too, I tend to eat shredded wheat cereal (I found one at whole foods that has 100% whole wheat and no added sugar or anything) some unsweetened soy milk and a Banana or two. If I had more time I might make oatmeal instead of the cereal.

A green smoothie is the absolute best breakfast, especially when using all organic and raw foods. Tons and tons of people love this because it gives them energy in a healthy way without caffeine and also improves their health. You don't need to be on a raw diet to incorporate this. Make sure it's a large enough amount to feel satisfied and if you workout in the morning, it's best to split it and have 1 jar 16-24 oz beforehand and the rest afterwards. Avocado, nuts/seeds or a good protein powder can help make it thicker and heavier, if need. More info for those who don't know much about them: Dimond Health: Smoothies/Soups |

Zack! Fruit is by far the best breakfast. Fruit and only fruit until noon. It makes your energy last all day. I notice that when I eat a heavy breakfast (anything other than just fruit) I'm dragging by around 4pm.

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day! Here are my suggestions: 1. Scrambled Egg Whites served alongside Avocado, Grilled Spinach and Grilled Tomato 2. Raw Fruit (on it's own or with Plain Natural Yoghurt & Honey) 3. Homemade Bircher Muesli (Grated Apple, Rolled Oats, Almond slices, Plain Yoghurt, Honey & Strawberries) 4. Homemade Granola with Poached Fruit & Yoghurt 5. Homemade Porridge with Fruit, Nuts & Cinnamon |

I like the Joeschmoe answer! That thing about breakfast is a myth designed to make you buy and eat more food. The book, Fit for Life, has sold over 8 million copies making it the best selling book on health and diet. It says that thousands of people have been healed of many health problems by skipping breakfast. The next best thing is to eat something that needs no digestion. That is fruit. It is pre-digested. A baby can eat it. So if you cannot eat nothing, then eat raw fruit with nothing on it. Good fruit like good watermelon, needs nothing on it. If you have to have something on it then slather it with butter or pig fat like Joeschmoe suggested. Did you know that you fast everyday to help your body cleanse itself. It is called sleep. People do not sleep enough and it helps you cleanse and lose weight if you are too fat. The first meal of the day is when you break your fast. It is called break-fast. If you do not break your fast, it continues through the morning. The cleansing takes place during that time. If you have a great diet, no problem. If your diet sucks then you get cleansing symptoms from the continued fast while it is getting the toxins out of you. If you smoke, then that cigarette when you wake up is very important. Without it, YOU WILL WANT TO KILL SOMEONE. People are addicted to many foods that are not good for them. People need a fraction of the food they eat. The rest is an addiction. I would never say my breakfast is for everyone but I will share. I eat a 4 egge omlet with turkey sausage, sometimes instead of sausage I use turkey ham or crab. Some cheese(That's my weakness.) I take a small potatoe and grade it into hashbrowns and stuff the omlet. I should make one and take a pic to share. It can be over 1,000 calories. Not bragging but I burn that many calories with my Ironman training so I need the calories. I do think breakfast is an imprtant meal. If I miss or even eat a small quick breakfast I can tell by how sluggish my body feels till noon. |

These days I go for swedish hard bread with loads of cheese on and one boiled egg. When I lost weight I did fruit only until lunch. That meant like one apple and one banana for breakfast and after that 1 fruit/h. |
