Timothy Smith is on a distinguished road
Default Concerned about friend

He had a bad cold for a few days. He's better now but then a week later, he got a really bad cough. Then he complained of a headache and sore throat. He puked twice, and his appetite is 100% gone.

He wouldn't even do anything, but sleep. But he can't because of his bad headache. He has a stomachache as well. Should I be worried about him or has he got another cold?

No way to diagnose your friend over the internet. Encourage him to get to a doctor.

The last time I had those symptoms, I ended up with a brain tumor. How old is he? I didn't have the cough, though. Just the headache and the vomiting. HE should go to a doctor very soon.

he could have a cold, flu, he could have encepahalitis if the headaches are bad enough... these symptoms can cover a lot of things....bad if he gets dehydrated alone....needs a doctor, er, or walkin clinic....

He's probably at the point where an IV would be good. If he's not getting food down, he's not going to recover. Especially after weeks of having his chemistry thrown off.

Sounds like he's in danger territory, and the delirium of being sick is clouding his judgment.

If you're near him, force him to go get treatment. If not, strongly encourage him until he does it.

Are you suggesting that his friend should give him an IV on your advice? What kind of treatment should his friend force him to get. Wouldn't it be better for him to see a doctor and let the doctor diagnose him and prescribe an IV, treatment or no treatment at all.

Shouldn't he see a good doctor and let the doctor decide if he should get his brain tumor removed or not? Encourage him to see a good doctor! Do not be worried about him. Tell him that it would be prudent at this juncture for him to get checked by a good doctor to make sure that he does not have hyper gammaglobulin anemia accompanied with cupulolithiasis. Then get on with your own business.

i don't think anyone was literally suggesting the friend give an iv...we were all just making the point that it could be anything from something simple to something very serious and to get a professional opinion....
