Signs of high testosterone in men is sexually attractive to women. Why? Because not only is it a sign of masculinity, it's a sign of good health. Testosterone actually has negative effects on the immune system - so a man who has high testosterone in him signals that his body is genetically superior. That is, it's saying "I am fit and healthy enough to deal with this testosterone". In men with weaker immune systems, testosterone has to be repressed. So, my question is, if you make yourself as supremely healthy as you can - the perfect food, the perfect exercise, the perfect supplements, wouldn't it follow that this would increase testosterone in your body (if you're a man)? I feel I don't have a chiselled, masculine appearance, I have softer, sensitive features. While this doesn't bother me a lot, I would like to grow some facial hair. I'm 23, and my facial hair is patchy and meagre. That bugs me. This might sound ridiculously absurd, but on the three occasions in my life when I went on a week-long juice detox, I could swear I grew a little extra facial hair. Could there be a link, or is this a simple confusion of correlation with causation? |

No link. Your body does not become anabolic (increase test, growth hormone, nandrolone and other androgens..)by not eating. A high fat/carb/protein diet will do that. But you'll get fat also. Supposedly test is highest in males when they are young, 18 to early 20's I think. You can have it measured by your doctor. There are natural, over the counter test boosters but I do not know how effective they are. Real testosterone is sometimes given to people with low levels but in patch form - not really very effective. You can raise your test naturally over time by engaging in a steady routine of weight lifting, a bit of cardio and getting your diet to be as anabolic as possible. That is a process that takes years of dedication. Some people just choose to supplement that process with a weekly shot of testosterone which DRAMATICALLY quickens the process. This is not legal in the US but in Mexico and some European countries it is available as a prescription for that purpose. Last edited by joelr; 06-14-2009 at 10:05 PM. |

Fenugreek is supposed to trigger increased production of T in the body. You can get it in powdered form in pills, and take it daily. As I understand it, testing for testosterone in the body is pretty complex. There are multiple aspects to it, including "free" testosterone, that kind of mean different things. I've heard some people say they got tested for low levels of T, and got a false result; then went to another doctor who tested differently, and found they actually did have low levels. So if you do get tested you might look into that whole issue. |

| Vitamin D from sunlight helps build muscles and bone. Bodybuilder, Stephen Arlin, says that sunbathing produces testosterone which helps builds muscle and burns fat. The governor of CA used to work at night so he could sunbathe during the day. But do not believe this. Test it out. Try it and see what happens. I can guarantee it or your money back. It is a fact that sunlight causes hair to grow faster. Last edited by ginkgo; 06-14-2009 at 11:09 PM. |

Get your levels checked if it concerns you, you could have a physiologic problem that is causing low levels. Testosterone level plays a part in lots of things in both men and women. If you are at a low level and it is physically permanent you can get injections, usually around 200 micro-grams every 2 weeks, this requires a prescription and probably an office visit every 2 weeks as well as paying for levels to be drawn occasionally. If you are running on low levels the shots will amaze you, increase in mood, self esteem, energy, facial hair (but can cause premature balding, how I'm not sure), lots of benefits. You need a test do determine if you need this and you need medical supervision, no black market BS. |

Guys with testosterone get the girls, no doubt. That is why we have discovered on the seduction forums through trial & error & research the testosterone diet/lifestyle. Do it and you WILL increase free testosterone, and lower estrogen. (the ratio testosterone/estrogen should be maxed) - 2-3 days a week HEAVY weightlifting. (4-6 reps max) - High fat/moderate protein/low carb diet. High cholestrol (dont worry, in absence of carbs cholestrol is not bad) (60-30-10) - only allowed to ejaculate once a week. - eat green veggies, they lower estrogen. - h.i.i.t interval training. It lowers bodydfat, and bodyfat has aromatase enzym, that converts testosterone into estrogen! Yuck! - zinc supplement. Like 300% daily recommendation for two months. - Omega 3 supplement Effects: Horny as HELL. Increased strenght and muscle, lower bodyfat. Increased wellbeing, no shyness whatsoever. You might even start to grab girls asses Good luck! |

Avoid body washes or soaps that are antibacterial when showering. It has been shown to lower testosterone levels. Also, it takes 48 hours to absorb vitamin d through sunlight exposure, so minimize what you wash to underarms and undercarriage. |

By the way, there is an excellent episode of the radio program This American Life that is all about testosterone. The podcast is available for download at iTunes (probably $.99). In one story, a man loses his ability to produce testosterone, and the results are surprising (from his account, he achieves a real inner piece, but loses all drive). In another story, a super-feminist lesbian begins hormone therapy to become a man, and she basically turns into a nerdy jerk -- she can't stop oggling women, and she's suddenly interested in science. That episode really gives you some insight into the practical effects of testosterone. I'm a fan of TAL, as you may have guessed. |

Some men simply don't grow a lot of facial hair. In fact, some don't grow very much hair on their body at all. We're all different, so don't assume that you're some kind of freak just because you developed slightly differently from whomever you're comparing yourself to. There's nothing wrong with experimenting and finding out what works for you. Just don't be dissapointed if you don't turn into Arnold Swartzenegger over night. Exercise and diet will obviously be important components to think about if you want to increase testosterone, although from what I've understood psychological factors also influence our physiology. Remember that a positive attitude is key to succeeding in any area. |

The only way to dramatically increase your testosterone is through steroids. The other way is diet and weight training. Despite what some supplement companies will tell you, the over the counter is no where near steroids. Some pro-hormones have shown promise, but the FDA bans them in seconds. As other threaders have advice diet espiecally high fat, will help - supplements like MACA, Horny goat weed, etc. zinc always brings my libido up noticeably - but absolutely all my friends who have taken steroids (way over 100) have said they could have picked up a vending machine with their tool - thats how dramatic it was As for testosterone being a sign of health and fitness? I question this. Bodybuilders are without a doubt the biggest testosterone abusers going. Alot of them have had artificially elevated testosterone levels for years. They are neither fit or healthy. Most can't run 6 metres and they are at their doctors constantly with heart problems et al. If heart disease and cancer are the biggest killers, I dont think higher testosterone reduces this. I think fitness is a solely a function of exerciseing the cardiovasculer system and health is a matter of diet, genetics, and lifestyle. Heres the problem, I think another threader mentioned free testosterone vs binded. Also there are testosterone receptor sites as well. This is just like people who have more fat cells than others of similar height. Long and short, I have also seen people who added testosterone gave them bacne (thousands of huge read spots on their back - also dead give away for steroid use) you see just as you have a certain amount of testosterone - your bodies system is built to cope with that. So there are millions of testosterone abusers in the states who dont have muscle. why? because their body cant use the extra testosterone. In my gym, the only evidence for the use of some people is the super acne they develop. Another compound bodybuilders mess with is growth hormone, which you stop producing at 18. When they have given this to old people they put on muscle and lose fat dramtically. Beleive it or not its not detectable. problem is, it makes everything grow - muscles, bones, and even cancer cells. Sleepis suppose to raise growth hormone levels As for how to raise it - take Joerl advice. High fat, zinc, magnesium and B-vitamins. Also try and lower your estrogen. If you are soft it could be the culprit. Many steroids head grow female breasts because the steroid increased both testosterone and estrogen. Alot of bodybuilders wont accept their bodies cannot handle high tesstosterone. In my gym the biggest bodybuilders take the smallest amounts. Where as the ones talking the most testosterone keep increasing the dosage thinking it will make them bigger Last edited by Orecle; 06-17-2009 at 03:18 PM.

Vitamin D is the most toxic vitamin. Too much can kill you through liver damage (see hypervitaminosa D). So that is why there is very little of it in food. The skin creates a pre-vitamin D that is not toxic. Then the skin stores the non-toxic pre-vitamin D and only turns it into vitamin D as you need it so there is no danger of too much vitamin D from the sun. Also besides raw vegan bodybuilder Stephen Arlin saying that sunlight (sunbathing) creates more testosterone, I have experienced it my myself. He has written a book about a healthy raw diet lifestyle and bodybuilding. Bodybuilders have sunbathed to make their skin look better, but sunlight is not merely cosmetic. All life is dependent on it. I suggest washing your skin after sunbathing. Sunbathing causes you to sweat out cancer-causing toxins in the body. Then the water evaporates leaving behind the toxins. Now it is better to get cancer of the skin than it inside of you. But you can easily wash off the cancer causing toxins and I never heard of anyone washing off the pre-vitamin D. The only things that burn and create energy are things that are or were alive. Other things like rocks and dirt do not burn. Burning is releasing stored sunlight. Animals eat plants or eat animals that eat plants. If you grow a plant for 2 weeks and burn it, you will get a tiny bit of energy. Grow a tree for a hundred years and burn it and you will get a great deal of energy. Currently with the burning of fossil fuels, we are burning millions of years of stored sunlight. Once it is all burned, it will take millions of years to replace it. So we need to find alternates to burning fossil fuels. Go green! Also you can avoid conventional dairy and meat. It has female hormones in it that were injected into it to make the animal fatter or create more milk. Many girls go through puberty at age 8 or 9. I know a girl that grew up vegetarian and she had her start of menstruation after all the other girls that she knew. Last edited by ginkgo; 06-17-2009 at 07:39 PM.

Not all meat has been injected with hormones and even the meat that has been injected is tested for levels and rejected if it is above what is normally present. Contrary to popular opinion the meat industry is not just a bunch of clowns trying to poison everyone and line their pockets at the same time . Also, puberty can be delayed because of malnutrition by the same mechanism menstruation may cease or become erratic in malnourished individuals. I could just as easily postulate that the girl menstruated at a later date because she was in some way malnourished because of the vegan diet.

Errr Not sure about all this high T getting the girls ****. High T helps you over-come some of the issues with seduction - for example higher testosterone makes you more likely to not give a **** about things (attractive), more convicted in your path/beliefs (attractive), more novelty seeking (attractive) etc. But also it can make you more frustrated (unattractive), more pissed-off (unattractive), more reactive (unattractive). I am not saying that it is completely unhelpful, but more that it is not a magic cure. In my opinion there are much more effective areas to focus on to give you an advantage with women - ie: sex drive (different than T levels), grooming, social confidence, etc. NEL Blog |
