Hi, everyone. I was watching an infomercial about a machine that's a blender, food processor, chopper, and juicer all-in-one. It's called Bullet Express. I am a little wary about ordering something that I see on an infomercial (I had limited but mixed experience doing so in the past) Has anyone used it and can share your experience with the machine. It costs about $160 (including sales tax and shipping) and has only a one-year warranty. I only have an okay blender right now. Recently I've been getting bored with eating salads (I still eat a lot of fruits) so I basically went off the raw vegan diet and gained back the weight that I had lost. I eat out more often now. I may be more lazy than other people By the way, how was the Raw Spirit Festival in Santa Barbara? |

I dunno. I checked out the web page, and it looks hokey. The machine doesn't juice. The juicer is a freebie they throw in with your order. I bought a cheapo juicer once. It clogged constantly and was a general PITA. If you want a good machine for blending and some juicing, get a high power blender. I hear vitamix and blendtec are good, but I haven't used one. Sometimes you can find a good deal on ebay for a slightly used one. I have a cuisinart food processor for slicing and grating, but honestly in most cases I can hand cut it just as fast. I'm the only one in my house eating healthy food, so I'm only cutting up a few items at a time. |

I have always wanted to buy that Magic Bullet system (not sure if it's the same one) because it does look like it works really well for different purposes and doesn't take up too much space. I almost did a few months ago, but then after running a search, I found very mixed opinions in different reviews websites, with lots of criticism about a few things - I can't accurately remember what the criticisms were about, though. So I refrained from buying it for those reasons at the time. If it works well, however, it seems like a really good thing to have in the kitchen.

I used to live with someone who had one, and when I moved out it's one of the first purchases I made. I really like that you don't have to clean a whole blender every time you want to make a lil' smoothie. I read some negative reviews about it (I guess some people had problems with the seal or something), but mine has had no problem, and it's constantly getting knocked around If you're accustomed to a Vitamix, you may not like it -- it's not like the M.B. will make a banana/spinach smoothie without any trace of bits of spinach. | |

(like the one in today's post) I've been thinking about buying a food processor because my cheapo blender can't handle the job long-term. I won't be happy eating only liquids because it seems that my body craves solid foods like pies, quiches, etc. Some of my recipes call for a dehydrator also. I guess I'll need to spend some $$$ on equipment in order to be successful on the raw vegan diet long-term. I think I'm tired of Souplantation also. |
