Trying a 40 day water fast, does anyone have any experience? Scroll down to ken nubo. He doesn't say much of anything, just goes in, alarms everyone and leaves.

Good luck on your attempt.
True, not a lot of detail here

I had enormous success with a juice fast, and it was only 4 days. I finished up my finals at college, essentially living off of pizza, and was dying for a cleanse. I just decided not to eat for a day, transitioned into a juice fast (it was supposed to be a juice feast, but I couldn't stomach that much) and felt much better afterward. I dropped 10lbs with little effort, and I don't really have trouble keeping it off, but I'm really food conscious. As far as that guy that said he "almost died" it was probably all in his head, or he wasn't the fasting type anyway.

After reading about fasts, what I got from it is that it's not optimal, but if you keep putting junk in there, you need to give your body a chance to get it out somehow. Figuring out your ideal diet can be tough though.

If you are doing it to finally get off those extra pounds of fat, they won't stay off until you change your outlook on food itself. Food is one of those tricky things that has to be taken in moderation, and the fact that we can't just triage it and never do it again can be very difficult for some of us. Which is why it's such an issue.
