I'd always assumed wheatgrass was pretty healthy. However, today during a discussion with a friend he offered that wheatgrass (at least of the Jamba Juice variety) probably wasn't all that healthy due to bacteria, etc. that accumulates in the handling process. Growing wheatgrass and making it on my own is way complicated and not likely to happen soon. So the question then is whether buying wheatgrass from Jamba Juice, Whole Foods, etc. is actually a net positive or a net negative when it comes to health. Any thoughts? |
