Skateboarding is mostly free. So is walking around in random parks and through places you've never been. I call it exploring. Just offering the idea that there are thousands of free ways to exercise in ways you will REALLY enjoy and stick to. It's up to you what you like. I'm not a fan of repetitive tasks for the sake of my appearance. I feel great; that's what I like to get out of exercise. |

| I've heard there are problems with not doing cardio before you do weights at the gym. I have 2 suggestions of increasing cost and also increasing effectiveness. 1. Core Performance Essentials. This goes through and explains alot of the basics and sets you up with a plan that you can stick with. I think this was 30$ or so? 2. Get a Personal Trainer. This costs me about 50$ a lesson (I do it twice a week) and it provides several benefits. One I'm alot less likely to abuse my nutrition because I know my trainer is going to grill me on any extraneous things I eat. Two I work out harder when I'm with the trainer. Three I learn how to work out without a trainer. Four I work out harder when I'm not with the trainer so I can get more benefit from her when I am with the trainer. I'm a computer programmer and exercising is a mindless inconprehensible thing. This is why I have a trainer to help me understand what the heck it is that I'm doing. That and a zune is what keeps me going to the gym. |
