The medical community has had a lot of criticisms of low carb diets as being dangerous to your health in the long term. Not all low carb diets are the same, but this web stie will give you an idea of some of the problems:

Atkins Facts - Atkins "Nightmare" Diet

Dr. Dean Ornish's book "Eat More, Weigh Less" is similar to his plan for reversal of heart disease ( clinically verified ) and has been show to work.

Good Luck

There really isn't.

Many people have claimed they have felt better on low carb diets and they have, but it isn't because they go low carb it is because low carb diet authors encourage their readers to do these things:

- cutting back on refined carbohydrates: processed foods
- lots of food made out of white flour
- lots of low fiber food
- lots of food with a lot of sweetener in it

- avoiding dairy products

- eating more vegetables

Losing weight isn't all that great if you can't live the diet permanently, you gain the weight back, and you seriously damage your health. All is true of low carb diets.

I understand the low carb vs other diets is a bit of religious war for many people so I will stop. Pick your poison.

I just felt ethically obligated to say something.

Good luck

Everyone is entitled to have their opionion. yes, the whole low carbs diet and aktins is real debate in this world. That's why im doing researching on it. I found this so i bookmarked and when i found the time im going to read it throughly. I don't really want to stick to diet as such thats why im going to be read Dr phil Mcgraw - the ultimate weight solution - its a lifestyle that needs to change.

While i would say that you would need to cut back on processed food. As far as i know it is not very good for you.
As for white flour that is not very good as i far as i have heard.
I don't think you need to avoid dairy food because there are vitamins and nutrients in them that you may need.
As for vegetables i would yes, eat more of them and include fruits.

I believe that if you do some research you can find a healthy lifestyle that will be good for you.

Not sure if i can do this
