I guess because Spring is coming. Its been quite bad for me. My nose gets blocked and runny, especially in the morning. I have to sleep with my mouth open. My eyes get watery and I get bags under the eyes. Help! What can do about this? Is allergy curable? |

My eyes have been a little watery, which is actually quite mild for someone like me at this time of year. I usually just wait it out! It usually goes away for me within a month. Try getting some allergy medication if it's bothering you that badly! Edit: As far as a cure goes... I am not too sure. I once, however, heard a crazy lady say that if you add alot of spices, particularly jalapeno peppers, to your diet, then your allergies will go away. You could give that a try. From what you said, I guess you have hay fever. Go see a doctor and they should prescribe you with Nasal Spray and Cetirizine Hydrochloride. As for curing, I been told it's 'impossible'. Either that or it's very difficult and high risk. Otherwise I doubt there will be so many people with nut allergy. I suppose you could compare it to a virus. A virus infects your own cell so you have to destroy your own cell. Hence why it's so hard to treat things like HIV. The prescriptions will not completely stop your running nose and watery eyes, but it should lessen the effects of your allergy/hay fever. |

I read about using stinging nettle for allergies on Dr. Andrew Weils website many years ago. It's been a lifesaver for me when my allergies act up. It's one of the few supplements I make sure I'm never out of. I also take it with me whenever I travel. I get them from the health food store or Vitamin Shoppe brand but there are other brands like Nature's Way. People eat nettle as food so as far as I know there are no complications.

Yes, my allergies acted up this morning, but now I'm fine. I hardly ever have allergies, so it was very strange for me to have them act up when they haven't acted up all year so far. Perhaps it was being woken up at 9 AM by the termite people that made them act up again. But I've never had a problem with it. Sorry to hear that you do.
