Would you believe that a man, who does not work out at all, looks fat, and older than 50 years old, has the power of 30,000 men together? If it sounds impossible to you then watch this video: The Strongest Man in The World from Egypt |

| Seriously. Critical thinking does not abound in this circle. He could not lift a car as a demonstration because he would have an energy burst? Think about it. If he has the strength of a thousand men, there ain't gonna be no "energy burst". It would be akin to lowering a cereal box down from the cupboard. Religoius ideology obviously runs rampant.

He had a "test" at a "hospital", a sample from his spine. And from that he was determined to have "360 horsepower". He is "too strong" to work or serve in the army because his boss "might be a bad person" and would get hurt. He says he can lift cars and boulders, but when asked to lift one for the show, he refuses. No proof is given for his wild claims. We believe him because he says he should? My bs meter is going off. |

An interesting view on a different culture. It does seem his claims are quite convenient in nature are they not. By the way .....I tried to raise a glass of melted butter to my mouth but lacked the horsepower to do so! Try it for yourself.... he is right! |

My guess is that the bulk of what he says is made up, but can you imagine if some of it is not? What if he really does have several times the strength of normal men, doesn't need sleep, and feels the need for "release" fifteen times a day? The sleep thing alone would be amazing enough to make an academic career on! But yeah, I would need more evidence than a couple of bent coins and a lot of kids to accept that this guy is for real. |

There are medical anomolies like this guy. He does not look fat or old. He looks like Masutatsu Oyama. This guy was a master of karate but people said that he was as strong as an ox before learning karate. So to prove the strength of karate, he would fight and kill bulls with his bear hands. You can do a seach for him. I have a book about him. But Oyama did not go preaching about God. Here is a picture of Oyama from Wikepedia. He fought 52 bulls and killed 3 of them instantly with one strike and that ain't no bull. His nickname was Godhand. Last edited by ginkgo; 04-13-2009 at 11:59 AM. |

That man knows a few things: a little sleight-of-hand magic, how to BS, and how to cook numbers to suit his story. It's interesting that those are the same qualities as the global financial institutions responsible for much of the current economic meltdown. : ) |

| If you doubt, you'll doubt. People will see whatever reality they want to see. As for me, I just don't care that much if it's sleight of hand, the type of world I live in is full of weird and amazing things so why not this? Why WOULD he fake it? He has no reason to, especially not to do something so perfectly. If it were a cheat it'd look more "polished" and convincing. "Look fairer and feel fouler" as Frodo said. That to me is as good a proof as any... so long as my life doesn't depend on me not making a mistake of course |

I've never seen such strong eye sockets in all my life -- Allah is truly great. It only makes sense that his only demonstrations of strength have to do with the bending of coins. I mean, if that's not evidence, what is? Lifting up a couch of wives with one arm, perhaps? Nah, you had me at "I can bend coins just like David Blaine can and does." |

Btw, he said that he inherited the strength from his dad. I am just wondering whether all of his sons would have the same strength =))

But you've got to admit the Egyptian guy's story sounds preposterous, am i wrong? A very strong karate master killing 3 bulls with one strike, knowing exactly where to hit them, that is in a whole different category and well within the realm of belief. But i wasn't aware of a medical tool that could accurately measure a man's "horsepower" from his spinal fluid. But at least the video got people talking Last edited by MightySunTzu; 04-15-2009 at 09:33 PM.
