I think it's possible but requires more knowledge about what makes us age. I doubt it's as simple as your biologist claims. What does he recommend? Plenty of fruits, vegetables, and clean water? Does he consider genetics in his claim?

Many scientists are researching aging. I think eventually they could discover something that will enable us to massively slow down the aging of our bodies. Until then, the best we can do is do what we know is healthy. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, water. Get daily exercise. Don't smoke or use drugs. And so on. Even with all that, most people won't even live until 100. So we need to learn more about what ages us. |

Sure, why not? Back in Bible times, some people lived to be many hundreds of years old, but who knows how true any of that really is? I believe we can live as long as we believe it is possible, but you'll have to do certain things to ensure such a long life. Eating a raw food diet is one of them because any other food accelerates aging. We live in such a toxic world that 190 may be a little steep unless you move somewhere miles away from civilization. It's certaintly possible, but not likely. For the average person living in an average world today, there is almost no way this will ever happen. It would take a radical shift in diet and in environment.

I'd like to see how we can apply peak performance & longevity techniques to see if we can generate elite athletes into their 40s, 50s & 60s...that's a good starting goal, to my mind. I think that if 190 is ever truly viable, elite athletes at those ages should be no-brainers.

It depends on a couple of factors: 1) Whether genetically-tailored medications actually prolong the lifespan. 2) Whether an individual would be willing to replicate the low-calorie conditions that prolonged life in animal trials. The problem was generally the hibernation-like lifestyle that it produced in the animals. Is it currently possible? Probably not, and probably not in terms of quality of life either. Aging is hard-coded into who we are. To stop the aging process would fundamentally disrupt human life in ways that we can't even imagine at the present time. |

| It may be possible. First we have been around for 3 million years without all these drugs (medications). So do not use any-- even the over the counter drugs. SAY NO TO DRUGS! Also no vaccines. They contain mercury. All the animals eat all their food raw except for humans, gorillas, wolves and ostriches. Just kidding. Only man cooks food. So how many people do we have eating all their food raw for their whole life? Not many. You can give a meat eating animal in the wild a nice piece of cooked meat and he will not eat it. Also the skeletons of people over 10,000 years old contain no salt. So they figure that is when people started eating salt. Here is a fact. Put 4 ounces of salt in water and drink it and you will die. You can try it to prove that it is wrong. Ask your doctor if it is OK if you do it in his office. He will say "no." Salt is not a food so it cannot be raw. Another thing they call raw food is living food. Cooked food needs salt since it has little taste. The people in the bible who lived very long times were about 10,000 years ago. The only animals that add salt to their food are lamas, humans, baboons, rats and shrews. Just kidding again. Ony humans do that. Also you can still overeat raw food. Here is how you prevent over-eating. It is called the instincto diet. The only animals that eat more than one food at a time are wolverines, jaybirds, flying squirrels and humans. Just kidding again. If you eat only one raw food at a time, then you will never over-eat any food. So there is still a lot of room for improvement. Also do away with stress. Dr Wayne Dyer says that there is no such thing as stress only stressful thoughts. Here is my example. Was the 9/11 event stressful? Then how come they showed people in Muslim countries dancing and celebrating after hearing about it? |

I read something like that awhile ago and I incorrectly recalled its effect on the organism's metabolism. I may be thinking about some other kind of diet, but I'll let you know if I find anything interesting. Edit: Found some cool stuff. Clive McCay - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia 1) Fluoride f--ks your teeth up rather than helping them be stronger. 2) He showed calorie-restricted results over 50 years ago, and scientists are "still searching". ROFL, yeah right they're searching! If the calorie-restricted diet ever made public wind, the agricultural industry would lose a TON of money on grains. This is just another case study in why we need a new scientific revolution. Last edited by Manomanman; 04-14-2009 at 04:25 AM.

The body isn't what you think the body is. It isn't created by food. It is a reflection of your consciousness in the physical plane of existence. There's a lot of belief in diet, heredity, medications, toxicity, radiation, etc. effecting the body. That's all denial and it looks quite real. The body is a reflection of your being, just as everything else in the manifested world is. You wanna live to 200? Stop believing everything you believe about the body and be open to new information. Using the mind will not make you live longer. The mind uses logic, which is denial, and will limit your lifespan more than it lengthens it. Last edited by Dharma; 04-14-2009 at 05:16 AM.
