Usually when someone does all smoothies or soups, it's considered a fast just like juice fasting. It's healthy for a period of time, but probably not always unless you learn to chew your liquids. Even then small amounts of solid is probably good on a regular basis. Also need to make sure there is always a good amount of greens in any liquid diet.

ive gone for months on just smoothies and blended soups. it was an amazing experience and i would highly recommend it. you are able to get super nutrition is an easily digestable form. you basically have so much more energy to use for healing and/or rejuvination. greens are important as well, they have the alkaline minerals and the cholorphyll. just going on fruit or even mostly fruit will generally have negative results. IE. you will end up depleting your body of minerals. thats why you need a lot of greens and superfoods to provide the minerals your body needs while its cleaning. |

I am a major live green smoothie queen, but personally I couldn't go indefinitely on them. But I do regularly jack them up in my diet to a pretty high quantity. I agree that they'd be great for a cleanse during a specific time period, whether for a week or a couple months. |

You have to be extra careful with your dental hygene if you do this. Our teeth were meant for chewing. The gums get stimulation that way also. I'd make sure to get a gum stimulator and use it regularly if going an all smoothie route for an extended period.

I take a green smoothie every morning. But to do it for the whole day? It is worth to try for 30 days or so. What I did found out, is that avocado is lovely in the green shake. And it takes away that rumbling feeling in my stomach for much longer. |

My only advice is to chew before swallowing it. Chewing will produce saliva, which will help break things down before they get to your upper stomach. Chew until the taste starts to change. That means the sugars have started to breakdown in your mouth. | |

It would be okay for short term diet, but the best is to have a proper diet + exercise. Obvious stuff. __________________ List of Good Paying Jobs That Don't Require a College Education Last edited by ken nubo; 03-04-2009 at 03:01 PM. |
