I 'm not sure which forum this belongs to. I'm wondering, is there anything to suggest that if you fear too much a certain disease you might actually manifest it in yourself? I do not mean the negative effects of stress and worry which I believe in anyway, but actually being afflicted by the specific illness you have in mind?

I was a hypochondriac for 5 years 100% convinced I had cancer. I did not manifest physical cancer. Hypochondriacs rarely develop the diseases of which they are completely convinced they have. It may be possible to give yourself a cold by worrying about it. A common illness caused by a lowered immune system (stressing about illness) could be manifested.
