I've been confused about polyphasic sleeping; to help get things back into order, I need to ask a few questions (questions I've searched for, but either I'm using the wrong keywords or they've been unasked) . The questions are as follows: 1. Is it possible/feasible (an answer to each would be helpful) to integrate polyphasic sleep into a highschool life? Thinking it through, I'd imagine that the only one that would be possible is the Everyman Schedule, specifically the 3 hour core with three 20 minute naps. I have tried figuring out Uberman, But the only time to get the nap in *at* school is during our 25 minutes of lunch. Not eating is not a problem, I'm never hungry at that time. The problem is the fluidity of the time. It could be anywhere between 10:30 and 12:30, hence the need for a more flexible schedule - Everyman. But is it flexible enough for this? Thanks Last edited by Stasis; 02-14-2009 at 09:51 PM. Reason: To make it easier to read. Then to correct a mistake... |

I've been trying to figure it out a while ago. The answer I came up with was: there's no way for me to poly-nap in high school without screwing up at least one lesson. If you can get it done on a large break, good for you. 25 minutes to find some place to sleep and get back to a lesson sounds challenging enough to wait for vacation under my school conditions. Perhaps test the patience of teachers and parents and screw up some lessons? If you're a good liar and people around you have no idea that you're about to try polyphasic sleep, pretend you have some sleeping disorder and you HAVE to sleep that way. Pretend that you're restful after 30minutes and that's just how it is and you can't fall asleep for more. Haha would be hard NOT to oversleep when they test if you're telling the truth, won't it? Ah but see, I have 25 minutes of lunch and only 20 minutes need to be sleep. Heck, we're given 30 minutes from leaving class until getting straight back - therefore, the only reason I'd need to lie was if I was doing Uberman, right? Everyman would allow for the flexibility, right? Well, that's my question anyway. |
