Default Raw food diet

Does anyone have any money saving tips for me. Raw organic fruit and veggies are very expensive. I love the diet- feel great on it and have experienced healing in my body from it. I would like to continue but it is very expensive.
Thanks,
Rob

Shop around. In my same area produce can be double or triple the price, depending on which store and which item. For example bananas at one store are .25/lb and at the big grocery stores are .69-.79/lb. Apples at one place are .50/lb but similar ones are as much as $2/lb at another store.

Buy what's on sale and what's in season, if possible.

If you're making some of the fruit into smoothies, you can probably get by with slightly blemished items. These may be sold in the clearance area. Or sometimes the bagged fruit (such as apples) sold in the bags are much cheaper.

Review what you've been eating to see what you buy alot of. Then consider buying in bulk and/or at warehouse club stores.

Make some compromises. Some fruits have alot more chemicals used on them than others. If you can't afford everything organic, buy organic on the items it counts more.

thanks Funchy- so would you say that you spend about te same eating RAw as you would normally?

I am currently 206 lbs and would like to be 180. So at 180 I would need less food than I currently need- but I was just curious as to what others spend.
Thanks,
Rob

I look at it this way I was spending $6-$8 on a meat for the day
when a whole bag of organic apples is $5.00

do check different stores and buy frozen if a fruit you want is not in season
