The lean look. I'm lean and well toned, but less muscular than the guy in the picture (working on changing this, though - I want those abs Last edited by ShunterAlhena; 01-29-2009 at 12:50 PM. |

Whatever makes me feel freer. I'm number #1 and liking it alright, but I want more muscle. I'm gonna try both, though it remains to be seen if number #2 is doable on a raw vegan diet. I reckon it is....

| You would like my bf (but stay away! Love LL, but at the same time for someone I'm close to it's too much muscle for me. The lean example is too skinny and toned. I guess I like a more "regular" body that has muscle and good tone, but doesn't look like working out is their full time job. Like someone said, everyone is different! Luckily there are plenty of types out there to please us all! |

It does not matter to me. I am very lean and muscular but it does not matter much to me. But I would like the strength of Bruce Lee or Muhammad Ali. That is what I aim for. I'll need more density and mass if I am to do that. |

I'm apt to be somewhere in between the two, aiming for being on the lean side but with a bit more muscle than the first guy. At 5'9'', 160 pounds and ~10% bodyfat right now, I could see myself happily staying at my current weight but going down to the 6-8% bodyfat range. Losing fat isn't an immediate priority though. I'm more focused on getting my 5 rep squat/deadlift weight in the ~300 pound range without putting on more than a few pounds, which will likely entail losing some bodyfat as a natural part of the process. I can easily pack on muscle (my dad was 310 pounds as a bodybuilder, and and a toned 270 when he got his blackbelt), and have gotten up to 185 pounds in bodyweight without trying, but prefer to stay light and strong for climbing, cycling, and not having to get new clothes |

I'm a girl, the first one, no questions. that brings eyesight to the blind LL looks like he was pregnant, then got in a fight with his significant-other and they took an axe to his belly. Last edited by dice; 01-29-2009 at 10:46 PM. |

I think the point is not what we prefer, it's what our body type is. Some people just are lean. They very well can grow powerful muscles but they will never look big and muscular. Others are of heavier built, they're slower, grow big muscles easily and will never really look lean, no matter how much they try. It's just a matter of body constitution. I doubt that's something we can change.

I thought there'd be more choices. Between those two, I don't really care. Maybe I prefer the big one, more weight provides more stopping power in your punches. Maybe I prefer the light one, small frame, quick movement. If only I could have both. :/ |

| Maybe in the future they'll invent some technology to inflate and deflate your body mass depending on the situation. Like an extreme make-over kit. All the current trends tell us that people are increasingly keen to change their bodies.

We hear it all the time. "I got big bones or I cannot build muscle easily, I have a high metabolism". While you can't control your bone structure obviously, anyone and I say ANYONE (girls not included :P) can build the muscle of the guy on the second picture, and get the lean look of the first. And by the way, the guy on the first picture has not that much muscle, he is just very very lean. For me, how Brad Pitt looked in Fightclub was awesome. | |
