| 12 Months, 12 Healthy New Habits - MSN Health & Fitness - Diet & Fitness Very nice article that fits very well with a lot of things people are trying to incoporate at these forums. It's also interesting to see how in a lot of those steps they advocate intending change or thinking about it from a positive mindset. One thing I'm interested in hearing is regarding the February change. Has anyone else done this and heard of such benefits? |

| I made the switch more than a year ago, using Celtic sea salt on everything. It is a bit pricey, and occasionally clogs the salt grinder when the humidity changes. However, the taste is remarkably better than refined salt or the large white crystals of 'sea salt'. As for the health benefits, I've heard the same, but it was the taste that sold me on it. Of course when I'm not at home, I have to rely on whatever is handy. I'm not about to start carying my own salt grinder everywhere I go. People will start calling me 'Mad Eye Moody'.... | ahimel, I appologize for the double post, I must have missed it somehow. If a mod feels like it, they can merge the two threads together. WanderingOak...thanks for the clarification, I thought that the salt they were talking about was that sea salt that's large chunks. I always found that a bit odd. I'll give this one a try. What about be the exact product or name it would go in stores under? Is it also available in a grocery store or special nutrition stores only? |

Edit- I take that back, it costs less locally, at least for the shaker jar. Your best bet is to buy the 1 pound sack and use a salt-grinder. Last edited by WanderingOak : 01-06-2007 at 03:03 AM. |

| I don't have the habit of eating salt on a daily basis, but I'll try sea salt to see how I like it. I'm guessing that sea salt is healthier. |

| Not only is it healthier with more trace minerals, but it also tastes so much better than table salt. The trick is to use unrefined sea salt, which may be hard to find if there is no quality Health Nut store near you. It should specify if it is refined or not on the label. |

| There is a Whole Foods Market (they sell mostly organic) near my office and flat. I'll get some there. |
