Question Which Akalizing drink?

I'm considering investing regularly in some alkalizing green drinks to energize and cleanse my body. I was just checking the alkavision brand here - :: AlkaVision, Inc. - Research and I was wondering if anyone else has tried them or, tried any other brands, or compared brands to find out which one was the best or which one worked best for you?

StevieP, since you like being guinea pig so much have you thought about doing an alkalizing experiment? (Although being vegan you probably don't need to.)

Hey Amit

Hope all is well buddy and that you had a great new year!

We've got a green drink comparison over at energise which might be useful for you:

Green Drink Matrix

It's UK specific so all of the costs per day etc will make sense to you.

Let me know if you have any q's mate

I like Dr Schulze's "superfood".

Thumbs up

Hey Ross,

Thanks for that, I was actually looking for something like that. I've ordered some of the Alkalive brand, It's the one that most appealed to me, I'm not sure why but I'll try it for a while and see if I like it. I've ordered the Alkalive PH drops too.

Thanks Stephen, I'll check it out!

I'd love to find this out too. The problem is that everyone pitching alkalizing drops, etc. has a vested financial interest and so it's tough to separate hype from what actually works. Because of this I've stuck with lemon and lime juice which is alkaline-forming in the body when added to water.

If anyone has a better and reasonably-priced solution (no pun intended) I'd love to hear it.

Hi jbischke

While I cannot separate myself from having a store that sells all of these products - I do really believe in the effectiveness of the pH drops.

Having said that you are still definitely on the right lines with the lemon and lime juice too though. I guess the best thing to do would be to try them and see if you notice any difference for yourself.

Presuming you are in America I can recommend things to you without the guilt of plugging my site - so i will recommend perfectlyhealthy's pH plus - which are actually capsules. I have found these to be the most convenient and useful - but i guess it depends on the type of water you are using too. If you are using tap water then you probably want to stick with the drops...

Anyway, have a great weekend,
Ross

Thanks Rossio. I have no problem with you plugging your stuff if you truly believe in it.

In the book Fantastic Voyage (highly recommended by the way) the authors suggest a machine that separates out the water into alkaline and acidic parts. You drink alkaline and use the acidic for bathing, plants, etc. Seems like a lot of trouble but I'm curious in terms of how this compares with drops.

BTW, I'm currently using spring water (Arrowhead). Also wondering whether this is best or if I should be using distilled?

I used to work for InnerLight, a green drink/health supplement MLM company. Their key products were the greens mixture (SuperGreens) and alkalizing drops (Prime pH). In combination I can say both were fantastic, and since I was a 'product of the product', I was in great health.

A few years later, are more economical choice for me is Greens+ (http://www.greensplus.com/), at about $28 for a months supply.

I have not found an alkalizing drop yet to add to the repertoire, preferring to eat an alkaline diet as much as possible (and saving some $!)

I feel so privileged to have had the experience of alkalizing, and understanding the health benefits it provides on the cellular level. At 24, I am looking forward to a long, healthy, and happy life.

I'm curious as to whether anybody with a background in chemistry has looked into these. I'm not referring to studies that are touted by these companies but rather someone without a self-interest. I'm interested in whether these claims of alkalinity are really valid. Feel free to throw some links my way.

Below articles/reseach would certainly offer the benefits of doubt for those who wish to drink Alkaline Ionized for long term . I have posted that i'm drinking Alkaline water but i may have to reduce the frequency of drinking that. It seems that filted tap water is still the "safest choice" of H20.

The bad
Snake oil on the tap?
Degradation of myocardiac myosin and creatine kinase in rats given alkaline ionized water.

Influence of alkaline ionized water on rat erythrocyte hexokinase activity and myocardium.

The good ( with vested interest mostly )
Is alkaline water snake oil on tap?
