Default New to being a Raw Foodist - Help!

Have been trying to switch to raw foodist for about 2 months...and it was a bit difficult since I was living at home and everyone was shoving "conventional" foods in my face...but ive recently moved out and made a covenant with myself that I will not ever buy non-raw foods for myself.

Problem is that I do not have enough knowledge about what foods to buy and what to eat throughout the day. I need more variety ( I think )

Currently I just stock up on tons of spinach, bananas, apples, and oranges. I eat them by themselves or blended...

Can I get some advice on meal plans, combinations, what to eat throughout the day, am I getting enough calories if I exercise 30-60 mins 6 days a week? Etc...

Thanks!

I am probably seriously underqualified to give you advice seeing as I've only been raw since just before the new year but I see you don't mention salad, like lettuce and tomatoes.I was never really a fan of either but I've come to appreciate both in a whole new way since being raw. My body seems to just go into overdrive when put in front of lettuce, tomato etc..and I think it might be to balance the sweetness of all the fruit. I also juice,(not blend) carrots and cucumber and tomato about once a day too and eat nuts as well.I'm just trusting my body to tell me whats right. If some folk can eat crap food for whole lifetimes surely its ok to not be perfect with this. So in a nutshell, its fruit and a smoothie for breakfast. A veggie juice and salad for dinner and repeat breakfast for supper. I am trying to replace the fruit smoothie that I have for supper with a greener type but I'm still figuring that one out!

There's a free raw recipe ebook with stories and before and after photos at Raw Food Australia - Home (just click free ebook in the top right menu). It's a great read.

Default Helpful info...

Please read the link that I just posted today in the Health/Fitness forum. It's titled "An Absolute Must-Read for Raw Fooders." I believe this info will be enormously helpful for you, as it was for me.
