Cute cartoon.

The irony is that vegans are far less of a threat to plants than animal eaters are. Snacking on animals (who eat mostly plant foods) nukes around 10x as many plants as consuming plants directly, not to mention all the additional resources (water, electricity, fertilizers, slashing rainforests for grazing land) that went into producing that extra plant food.

That reminds me of my favorite question when asked why I was eating a vegan diet: "So do you love animals or really, really hate vegetables?"

Steve, the only problem with what you wrote is that it is logical. I have been a vegetarian for 27 years and a vegan for about 11. I have found that people who have brought up the "What about plants?" question really aren't interested in finding more positive eating habits, they are only interested in discrediting me so they can brush me off. Either that or they are trying to make some free meal time entertainment out of me.

Ha! I love it. This is getting forwarded to my veggie coworker... she's been interested in going vegan for a few months now.

Thanks for sharing!
