Default Went a week on only fruit, freshly made juice (veggie & fruit), and some seeds & nuts

Coming from someone who normally eats plenty of meat, bread, potatoes, chips, wedges, cereal, porridge, occasional ice cream, and so on - I can say with 100% accuracy that I have never had such absolute pleasure from eating (and drinking) as I have during that week. I'm going to go back on it tomorrow.

Today, I ate loads of turkey and potatoes and sweets - and while the dinner was very nice and pleasure of eating the sweets was transient but real, I now feel much worse.

I felt lighter, cleaner, healthier, fitter - and the taste of the juice is absolutely gorgeous.

I also dropped about 5-10 pounds, all fat.

I truly believe that the human body needs far less protein than we think - I haven't lost any muscle whatsoever, and I always feel energetic and strong, never weak or hungry. In fact, not once have I felt in any way deprived or hungry throughout the week.

There is so much f*cking goodness just bursting from fruit and vegetables and the juices I make: I make over a pint of this juice, and drink it slowly, and it has to be the most gorgeous tasting stuff I have ever consumed.

It's like your taste buds are heightened to a new, higher plane.

After spending 3 months walking 20-27 miles a day I craved fruit. It was all I wanted to eat. I think it's what the body needs. And yes, the flavor of fruit can't be matched by any other food. Best, to me, is grapefruit wedges. This summer they were so sweet and tasty I'd buy a huge bag at the farmer's market and eat one or two a day.

Thats awesome. I eat more fruit and veg now than I ever have but still not enough as I think I should be. Could you post up a rough diary of your eating day to day? What were you having for breakfast, lunch, dinner etc and what quantities?

I eat breads, pasta, oats (porridge) etc though I'd deffinately be up for trying a week on just fruit and veg! Although not sure I could say bye to the porridge :P.

Sivodna, that's awesome! It's so fun finding out how food is meant to taste and how good it is. It becomes even better the longer you're raw. You realize how overly seasoned or sweetened food is, even the supposedly healthy stuff.

Juice is definitely amazing and something everyone should try to add to their diet.

Sorry about the delay in getting back to this thread.

I really don't have a typical day - I base it purely on moment-to-moment considerations and feelings, without the slightest consideration for quantities or calorie counting - except, of course, based upon how I feel.

Roughly though, it would simply go like this:

Morning - about 8 a.m:

Some water and lemon. Then, half a melon (or some juice). The juice would be about a pint of carrot, apple / pineapple (these should make up the main base of the juice), mixed with some variation of celery, cucumber, beetroot, and some spirulina.

Two to three apples from then until 12.30, then some juice. perhaps followed by some grapes or manderines.

At about 5, I'll make some more juice, or have some fruit.

Go for a jog - or do some martial arts, or skipping, or whatever. (About an hour anyway)

Then, if hungry after, some sunflower seeds, or macarama nuts, or blueberries, you get the idea.

There's very little restriction.

It all just feels absolutely gorgeous, far, far beyond the transient, stodgy, empty, second-rate tastes of fatty fries, burgers, greasy food, chocolate, sweets and all that crap.

Sounds delicious! I also know what food can do, it changed me totally after 1 week almost raw.
