Default coconut oil?

the general consesus is that saturated fats are bad for you.

coconut oil is about 80% saturated fat.

So why is it good to ingest?

I found this about MCT's:
Quote:
"Coconut oil and palm kernels are stuffed with these fat molecules, which are much smaller than those found in the majority of dietary fats, meaning that they're digested faster and can be used as an immediate source of fuel instead of hanging around inside our fat cells. Nutritionists in the know already advise cooking with organic coconut oil, which contains fewer calories than any other fat and is, paradoxically, more satisfying than other fats, meaning that when it is added to meals you'll stay full for longer and will consume less food overall."
from here

But i'm not sure

Does anyone eat it on a regular basis? What does it do for you?

The fats in coconut oil are easily processed by the liver. They are turned into energy and not stored as fat. I just wrote a blog post about it.

Coconut oil is awesome, and I actually take a tablespoon a day to help me burn body fat!

Check out this amazing article: Doctor says an oil lessened Alzheimer's effects on her husband - St. Petersburg Times

Coconut oil actually reversed the Alzheimer's symptoms in this man.

There is a big difference in Medium Chain Triglycerides and hydrogenated fats, animal fats, etc.

Defiance, awesome article!

Anyone looking to try it, please make sure you buy raw and organic coconut oil because the right kind will make a big difference health-wise and taste. The price difference is small or none, if you don't pay retail.
