Xanafax, don't try to do it or even plan to do it - the harder you try to give something up the more it works against you. Remember Yoda? "Do or do not, there is no try"

instead surround yourself with articles and websites and people who can give you reasons/testimonials/horror stories about meat and one day you'll find yourself casually bypassing the chicken.

make sure you have at least 2 friends (physically) that are openly vegetarian or raw and go for lunch with them and hang out with them a lot.

I've been slowly and unintentionally weaned off the meat diet over 2 years just by doing that.

I'm applying the same principal to make other shifts in my life too (surround yourself with it and you will become it - look at ashley/mary kate, they spend their time at fashion shows surrounded by supermodels, and are stick thin themselves.) trying to resist your surroundings is one of the hardest things, I've found.

Exclamation Before Pics!

I dug these out of the old vault. From mid August '08

That was post-water fasting. The water fast didn't help much as you can see

Hopefully this will motivate you guys!

Remember that skin cells turn over every 30 days, so have patience.

Dice!
I have a question;
You said that you are using Cataphil.
I've read and heard from many people about this cleanser.
Specially from Fran , the author of huge acne web site HignOnHealth.
So-I went to Wallgreens to check it out.
The ingredients look... scary.................
Ingredients: Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Stearyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben.

Do you feel it is gentle for your face?
Do You think it helped you as well?

Your skin looks amazing!

I have a few cleansers floating around the house (Cetaphil, Biotherm, St. Ives, Mario Badescu)

Mario Badescu is the safest and most natural.
Cetaphil is very gentle, does very little for my face sans clean it.
St. Ives face wash is AWESOME for little acne spots.
Biotherm is pricy, but good.

The toners make the biggest difference for me. DDF Glycolic is life changing, its done incredible things to my skin (it's $40 and worth it). Rosewater Witchhazel is also very gentle and cleans up whatever Cetaphil didnt.

Check out makeupalley.com for reviews. They're very accurate.

Really beautiful. Congratulations.

How much fat do you eat? I've had financial problems and have eaten a poor diet without much fat, my skin has become dry, red and patchy.

I usually get 3-5g fat from milks, 3-6g from soybeans, and another 10-14g from olive oil, another 10g from raw nuts. So fat intake would be about......20-40g a day. Never much less than 10g daily.

Wow. Is that a lot? I've never thought much about it until now.

Here's some more amazing transformations...
Shazzie.com > The raw food diet > Raw Transformation

Does anyone know as well should you take supplements when on a raw diet?

Thanks for posting this Dice, it is really interesting. Could I use your experience in a blog post? I wrote this some time ago

Can your diet cure acne? | Colin's Beauty Pages

but it really needs an update and your example is a very interesting one.

I think Cetapil is one of those products that might adversely affect the skin in the long run, but it shouldn't cause pimples.

Thank You, Dice !
I am currently reading a lot about chemical peels.
Lactic, Tca etc.
Amazing stuff.

p.s. I remember the day when I put all unnatural stuff away or asked around who wants it. Well, from time to time I need something powerful and quick.

Nope that is great. Fat should account for at 20% of your daily calories.
I eat around 60 g of fat every day. Helps keep my ezchema away and my skin "good2. (I am a guy so I don't care so much about it )

What about the good ole days, when all people had was WATER plus a few basic food-staples.
Yet, their skin was every bit as Beautiful & Healthy as yours
