Default Traveling in freezing weather while raw.

At first I thought it would be impossible and decided not to force myself to stick to my diet while traveling to a country much colder than my own.
I also didnt want to make a big deal from my diet and make my hosts stress about it. So I thought I'd do a break.

On the day I arrived I was given a vegetable soup by my hosts. I was tired and hungry and my body was a bit shocked by the weather. So I ate the soup. it was nice, it was the first cooked food I had for 4 months. But I had a stomach ache after.

That evening we went to a resturant and I ordered a salad. The next day at the hotel breakfast I found some apples and clemintines so I ate those.
The next day I offered my hosts to make them a salad from what I found in their fridge. It was great. and so it continued everyday.
I found in every resturant I went to, there was always a raw salad (maybe the dressing ist 100% raw b/c I dont know the ingredients, but usually just olive oil & vinegar.)
Even though the weather is below freezing, I have no desire whatsoever for cooked foods. (I do drink tea though).
Now im in another freezing city staying with friends. On the first day I arrived we went to the organic shop and I bought loads of Fruit & veg and have been making my friends a large salad every evening which they love.

So I've now learnt that its possible, and even easy, to stay raw whatever the weather, at home or on the road. And it doesnt have to be a big deal.
Im happy b/c this was the first time I'd traveled since I went raw, and was a bit stressed about it.

Good for you! I love when people don't let obstacles get in their way.

Default Nice.

It's nice to know that even in a completely different place or atmosphere it is still possible to stay on a strict diet. Keep up the good work. A lot of people can be motivated to stay on track by this story.
