Default Teeth problem with raw foods

Hi, I'm doing a raw food trial and I'm finishing the second day. One problem though, my teeth doesn't seem to happy since they hurt when I chew now. I suspect this is because of all the acid, yes? Because I'm eating a lot of sweet and acidic fruit. I'm pretty much following the 80/10/10 similar to what steve did in the beginning of 2008. And one more question, isn't that kind of diet acidic, since it's so much fruit? Sorry about a badly phrased post, suffering from a mental fog right now

Hi asgeirtj,

Have you tried oil pulling and green smoothies? Also, I've heard tooth soap can be good for your teeth
I'm also looking to get more advice on how to take care of your teeth on an all raw diet.

Don't take this too seriously yet. I had this too in the beginning, my gums really started hurting, but it was over in a couple of days. It's like the climate in your mouth needs to readjust itself to the new foods. If you are eating whole fruits and rinse your mouth with water after acidic fruits you shouldn't be too concerned.

My teeth seem to be better right now, at least chewing doesn't hurt nor does brushing. I was wondering though, it's okay to blend frozen strawberries on a raw diet right? And also, is it okay to drink orange juices bought ready from the store?

I think if the food is pasturized or if it gets heated to 105 degree temp. then your going outside what would be considered raw.

For dinner I ate 3 banans blended with spincah and ate 2 pears immediatly after that. After that meal my stomach has been aching a lot! Now, about 6 hours after the meal, I'm still getting pain bursts in the stomach which last for about 20 secs and usually ends with gas emitting. Has anyone experienced this while transitioning to raw?

Yeah, I get things like that too, especially when I have bananas that aren't ripe enough.

Default too much sugar at once?

I think while transitioning to Raw you should be careful about eating lots of Fruit. I'd stick with veggies and even raw meats. Eatings tons of raw fruit is just too easy and is tons of sugar, which isn't the best for you...
